Location of the message in a bottle - the Pier district
Message in a Bottle is an item and also a side quest. You can find the bottle on the beach in the Pier district in Santa Monica. In our case, it appeared after dealing with the boss at the end of the boardwalk - you will regain control over your character near this collectible.
First clue
The quest is about following the footsteps of successive notes of the food critic.
Along with the first note, you have acquired the Bucket O'Fish Door Key. Go to the entrance of the Bucket O'Fish restaurant - it is in the northern part of the boardwalk.
Go down the stairs (watch out for traps!) and reach the staff room. You must reach the location in the picture and look for a new note.
Second clue
According to the note, you need to reach the heliport on the promenade. Head to the Pier Grill restaurant located east of Bucket O'Fish.
The note lies on the table.
Third clue
You now have to go to the Hot-Dog Shack - it is in the northeastern part of the district (you have to go off the main boardwalk).
Eliminating the culinary critic
Next to the hot dog shack stands the food critic A. R. Oliver - he's a Slobber.
The monster will drop a final note - pick it up to complete the side quest.
