What is Fury Mode?
This a special ability of your Slayer that can often change the course of a dangerous encounter. Fury makes the hero attack much faster. Moreover, you'll inflict much more damage with your attacks. In this mode, you're also faster, more durable, and have access to special attacks (these depend on what build you've chosen to develop). The effect, however, doesn't last very long, so use it with caution.
How to unlock it?
You will unlock this ability in Brentwood Sewer, during the course of a story mission called The Red Mist. During that mission, you'll experience Fury Mode for the first time in the game.
How to activate Fury Mode?
To use this skill, you must first meet one condition. Namely, the Fury Meter has to be filled in full. You can see it in the upper left corner of the screen, next to the skull icon. When the Meter is full, you can activate the ability by pressing the buttons responsible (L3 R3 on PS4/5).
Replenishing the Fury Meter
- The easiest way to fill the Fury Meter is by killing zombies. You replenish a small portion of the Meter with each kill. Successful counters and finishers replenish the bar even faster.
- Another way of replenishing the meter is through drinking energy drinks. Energy Drinks have another advantage, as they replenish your health a little.
- The next method is strongly dependent on how you've built your character. There are several Skill Cards in the game that allow generating Fury in different ways, e.g. Goliath skill card gives overhead blows a significant bonus to damage, power, and Fury generated.
- The final way is strongly related to Autophage. The higher the Autophage level (up to level 3), the more Fury you'll generate when killing opponents in Fury Mode. However, in order for this to happen, you need to have at least one point in Autophage in your build.
When to use Fury?
Use this mode every time you're in grave danger, or want to quickly eliminate a lot of zombies. Boss battles are also easier with this ability activated.
