Fast travel is a feature that helps in moving between distant points on the map. Game developers, however, do not always put this feature into their games. This Dead Island 2 guide page answers the question of whether the game has fast travel, and if so, how it works.
Is fast travel available?
Yes, Dead Island 2 has fast travel. However, it should be noted that there are two types of it:
- The first option will be unlocked at the very beginning of the game. You use it to move between one particular district and another.
- The second way allows you to move quickly to any location that has a fast travel map.
Zone Exit
To change districts, you must go to the zone exit. They will, however, move you only to a specific district, with no option to choose a different one. Usually the name of the location is written on the map.
Fast travel map
You will unlock the second way only halfway through the game, after completing The Red Mist main quest in the Venice Beach location. Inside the building with the blue crab logo you will find a fast travel map.
Use it to teleport to previously unlocked districts. Some of them have more than one map, so you will have a choice. In addition, it will be possible to change the time of day.
