Turning off the alarm is important in Dead Island 2. Our guide explains when an alarm may sound in a building, room or car, as well as how to sabotage the alarm to avoid drawing the attention of zombies in the area.
Alarms in buildings and rooms
Setting off an alarm in the game does not mean immediate defeat or failing the mission objective, but zombies will start running to the place where the alarm was set off, and this can seriously hinder your exploration.
The alarm can sound if you open or damage the objects plugged into it, such as a door, display case or glass case.
Try to destroy the alarm before it goes off - find a box on the wall (an example is shown in the picture) and destroy it with a melee attack (you may have to jump up) or a ranged attack.
Car alarms
Alarms can also activate in parked cars. It can happen, for example, if the car is hit or you decide to loot its trunk.
In this case, the universal solution is to remove the battery from the engine compartment - do this in advance so that the alarm won't activate.
