Decisions in the mission
Menendez alive or dead
This is a decision you take at the very end of the game (picture above). Press the appropriate button to kill or save Menendez. Your decision will have an impact on the game ending.
David Mason murders Menendez
There's nothing else to add (picture above). For further events, see the end of this section.
Menendez is captured
If you don't kill Menendez, he will be enraged by your decision (picture above). For further events, see the end of this section.
Consequences of this and the previous missions
[INTRODUCTORY CUTSCENE 1]
Completing the strike-force mission
If the alliance with China didn't take place, then during the conversation between the U.S. president and Secretary Petraeus, when the former asks about China (first picture above), the Secretary will answer that its situation is as bad as that of the United States. If the alliance took place, the Secretary will say that they're leading a simultaneous, coordinated attack with China and that Prime Minister Chen will certainly not disappoint them (second picture above).
[INTRODUCTORY CUTSCENE 2]
Farid or Harper?
When at the beginning of the mission Section tells everyone that one of their objectives is to kill or capture Menendez, then if Harper is alive, he will answer that he votes in favor of killing - since the attempt to capture Menendez wasn't that successful last time (first picture above). If Harper is dead, an allied soldier will be standing in his place (second picture above).
[LANDING]
In addition, after landing, if Harper is alive, he will utter some words encouraging to fight (picture above). Then he will be accompanying you from the beginning till the end of the mission.
[CHINA SUPPORT DURING THE MISSION]
If you completed the strike-force missions, and the alliance with China took place, then you will get Chinese support several times during the mission. Their people will eliminate the enemies with RPGs above the first long staircase, at the beginning of the mission. Afterwards they'll take care of the snipers in a torn-away corridor upstairs. At the end they will help you with two CLAWs that are blocking the entrance to Menendez's military base.
[MENENDEZ'S TRANSMISSION]
If Harper's is alive, of course, he will be there next to you when you are watching Menendez's transmission (first picture above), and he will remain with you until the end of the mission. If he's dead, his place will be empty (second picture above), and you will have to deal with the end of the mission alone.
[BEFORE TAKING THE DECISION]
Farid or Harper?
Killing DeFalco or letting him escape
This event takes place immediately after the floor has collapsed at the end of the mission.
There are three possibilities. If both Harper and DeFalco are dead, you'll simply need to kill two soldiers (picture above).
If Harper is alive, he will be lying next to the soldier on the left, who is preparing the gun to shoot (picture above).
If, DeFalco is also alive, he will replace the soldier on the left (picture above) and, of course, at this point, you will end his life. It is not possible for DeFalco to take part in this scene without Harper.
[AFTER TAKING THE DECISION]
Farid or Harper?
Menendez alive or dead
Shortly after shooting or lifting Menendez from the ground, if Harper is alive, he will comment on your decision (if he's dead, you won't hear a comment from anyone).
If you killed Menendez, Mason will walk up to Harper and pick him up (first picture above). Harper will say that he was worried for a moment that you intended to save Menendez. If you didn't kill Menendez, Harper will tell him that if it was up to him, Menendez would join his dead sister (second picture above). Immediately afterwards, the scene of going outside will take place and there are four possibilities.
If no one survived except for you, you'll exit alone (picture above).
If Harper is alive, but Menendez is dead, then you'll get out supporting the former. After a while, you'll pass him into another soldier's care and Harper will tell you goodbye (picture above).
If Harper is dead, and you spared Menendez, you'll lead the latter outside (picture above).
If Harper is alive, and you spared Menendez, you'll lead the latter outside. After a while, a soldier will run up to Harper and take care of him, and Harper will tell you goodbye (picture above).
And finally, the last scene will depend on Menendez. If he is alive, he will start saying something and the soldier who is handcuffing him will want to gag him. Mason will say that there's no such need, as Menendez is just an old, sad man talking to himself (first picture above). If Menendez is dead, you'll see two children instead - a brother and a wounded sister (second picture above).
