Decisions in the mission
Farid or Harper?
In the middle of the mission, when, as Farid you meet Menendez for the second time, after watching the cutscene you will need to make a decision (picture above). It affects the ending. The details are below.
CIA undercover operative Farid survives
If you kill Harper (first picture above), Menendez will leave this place, while Farid will briefly lose consciousness after the plane explosion. When Mason arrives at the place, a depressed Farid will tell him what happened (second picture above), while Mason will close Harper's eyes (third picture above). Moreover, you'll miss a short part of the mission, during which you will be firing at the turrets from the VTOL. In the next missions you will also not have a companion to help you.
CIA undercover operative Farid is dead
If you try to kill Menendez, he will grab Farid's arm and shoot at him (first picture above). When Farid will be lying on the ground, Menendez will get upset with Farid's treason and he'll say that for those whom Farid serves his life is of no importance (second picture above). Then he'll shoot him. Now there will be a short part of the mission, during which you will be firing at the turrets from the VTOL. When Mason lands, a battered Harper will tell him where Menendez has run away (third picture above). In the next missions Harper will be helping you.
Consequences of this and the previous missions
[INTRODUCTORY CUTSCENE]
Saving Karma
Until now it should be clear whether Karma has been saved (at the end of Mission 06: Karma, or through the completion of a strike-force mission Second Chance).
If Karma was rescued, she will be the one who will decode the intercepted data. She'll say that she earlier created the virus based on Celerium, which can decode anything (first picture above). If there's no Karma, she will be replaced by a British hacker who will say that someone left the back door open in the system so that he can break through (second picture above).
[MISSION START]
Killing DeFalco or letting him escape
When Menendez starts going on the stage, and DeFalco is alive, Menendez will walk up to him and hug him. DeFalco will say that Cordies Die expects Menendez's words (first picture above). If DeFalco is dead, Menendez will walk up and puts his hands on a random soldier's arms (second picture above).
A moment later you will get on the stage, and a Yemeni plane will come from its other side. If DeFalco is alive, he will knock the aircraft down with a rocket launcher (first picture above). If he's dead, a random soldier will do it (second picture above).
[IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MISSION, WHILE TAKING THE DECISION]
Killing DeFalco or letting him escape
The second scene is the one during which you are taking the decision described at the beginning of this section. If DeFalco is alive, he'll be present when you're taking Harper out of the plane (first picture above). If not, DeFalco's place will be empty (second picture above).
A moment later, when Menendez will give Farid the gun and tell him to shoot Harper, if DeFalco is alive, he'll ask Farid if everything is OK (first picture above). If DeFalco is dead, his place will be empty (second picture above).
