1. Karma is alive, Manipulation failed
Woods's peace of mind is disturbed by an arrival of a guest, who as it turns out is... Alex Mason. Woods can't believe it and tells Mason that he shot him. Alex replies that it turns out that Woods is not such a good shooter after all.
Karma, sitting at the computer, says that Menendez's virus has just infected the whole world. Kurtz, who's standing beside her, gets frightened and wants to inform the President, but Karma calms him down and says that she has already taken care of the virus.
When Mason enters Woods's hospital, he hears that he's another Mason paying a visit to Woods. David gets scared, but Woods calms him down and introduces someone after a while, namely... Mason's father. Dave is very surprised, and the flashback shows that Alex survived Woods's shots.
Alex points at the scar on his son's hand, when he fell off a tree (it was shown in the first mission introductory cutscene). He adds that he was proud of David that day. David replies that he did fall down, and Alex responds, that's true - but he got up on his feet immediately.
Karma appears on television giving an interview to the presenter. He says that it must be a great day for her - she saved the world after all. Karma replies that, yes, and at the same it's a very bad day for Menendez.
Menendez, watching the show, gets mad and starts banging his head against the screen. In a word, his plan didn't end as he wished.

David goes with Woods to the cemetery to visit his father's grave. They talk for a while. Woods tells David that his father really loved him. David replies that he knows about it.
Then David puts away his gun and says he quits the service. Woods says that his father would be happy with this decision.
Karma appears on television giving an interview to the presenter. He says that it must be a great day for her - she saved the world after all. Karma replies that, yes, and at the same it's a very bad day for Menendez.
Menendez, watching the show, gets mad and starts banging his head against the screen. In a word, his plan didn't end as he wished.

A British hacker from the CIA, sitting at the computer, says that the virus has infected everything that could have been infected and that he can't do anything about it. The only thing he can do is to take to his heels and return to England.
Menendez, sitting in his cell, listens to the TV program. The presenter is making fun of Menendez, but after a while he gets anxious about the noises of the riots. After a while when the TV signal goes down, the worried guards enter Menendez's cell ...
... and they get overpowered and killed by Menendez, who only waited for the lights to go down. He exits the cell, impassive.
Menendez, disguised as an officer, enters Woods's room after killing the guard. A short conversation develops between him and Woods. The flashback shows what Josefina's face really looked like after the fire.
Menendez says that he hasn't left her and that it's Woods who took her away from him. He takes out the medallion, slits Woods's throat and puts his body on the bed.
Menendez goes to the cemetery, digs up his sister's grave, opens the coffin...
...pours gas all over himself and sets himself on fire.
