Hints and tips | Missions: Challenges CoD: BO II Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Each mission has 10 challenges. Passing all of them will reward you with achievements / trophies. But before you start to hunt for them, get to know some general hints.
- NEVER select the option "New Story" in the menu. Starting a new story will erase all of your results, including the acquired challenges. Individual missions can be played again using the "Replay Mission" option (you must first complete each mission in the campaign). On the reply mission screen, you have also the "Rewind Story" option, thanks to which you can rewind the story to the selected mission and make new plot choices.
- Due to the great inconvenience that certain challenges cause, you need to remember that although you can repeat the mission endlessly (using the "Replay Mission" option), you cannot get out of it and then come back. If you want to load a previous checkpoint - for example, right before the challenge you skipped - you must kill yourself. That is why, make sure you take some grenades with you. However, if the checkpoint is overwritten by the next one, you won't be able to go back to it.
- In the case of the missions played through in the campaign there is the "Save & Quit" option, which allows you to exit the game and return to it from the last checkpoint. It is extremely useful, because, for example, if you miss any moment or you simply fail to pass a challenge, the checkpoint will not be far from the attempt.
- It doesn't matter on which difficulty level you pass the challenges, so it's best to do it on Recruit. It is especially useful when passing the "Survivability 100% rating" challenge, which requires you to play through the mission without a single death or defeat. Each mission has this challenge. Another challenge that is the same in each mission is collecting all three intels. The remaining eight challenges are different for each mission.
- Getting the second and fifth challenge in each of the missions will reward you with extra equipment - weapon, weapon attachment or perk. Remember what you have in your inventory - sometimes some equipment can really help pass a challenge, and sometimes without appropriate weapons or grenades it will be virtually impossible.
- Remember that taking the "Access Kit" perk is a must! Without it, you will have no access to additional features, equipment and other items on the levels, which will make it impossible for you to pass at least half of the challenges.
