General tips | Strike Force: Walkthrough CoD: BO II Guide

Strike Force missions differ a little from the ordinary ones, and probably the biggest difference is the fact that you can't repeat them indefinitely (at least within the campaign). The number of chances you have is the same as the number of Strike Force Teams, which you get by playing the main campaign missions through. This is especially onerous on Veteran difficulty level, as some of the missions are very difficult and it's easy to lose the chance of carrying them out.
So before you start any mission, practice using the Mission Replay option - you don't have to play a strike-force mission through to gain access to it. Familiarize yourself with the equipment, get to know its possibilities and your soldiers, explore the area. Only after such training, can you proceed to the mission.
Strike-force missions have an impact on the plot. To get the best ending, you must complete all three (FOB Spectre, IED, Shipwreck) before you complete Mission 07: Suffer With Me. After mission 07 you will get access to a strike-force mission entitled Dispatch - you must play it through before you play the next mission of the campaign through, namely 08: Achilles' Veil. Moreover, if you didn't save Karma near the end of Mission 06: Karma, you need to complete a strike-force mission entitled Second Chance before you begin Mission 07: Suffer With Me.
