Conversation and interaction during a fight | Combat and crisis Torment: Tides of Numenera Guide

From time to time you can come across fights that have additional goals and tasks to complete. Usually, each fight ends when all of your enemies are dead. However, a lot of times the game offers you additional interactions that can influence additional options during the Crisis. The first potential fight with Qorro is a perfect example of this:
?
The fight with Qorro in the beginning of the game is a foretaste of how many options can be used during a crisis.
As you can see on the picture above, the goal of the crisis is to defeat Qorro and his mercenaries. That's the main opjective of the fight. But there are possibilities of fulfilling other goals, enabling you to, e.g. make a fight easier or end it in a completely different way. As seen during the first fight you can:
- Use one of the turrets to attack your enemies, giving you the advantage during the fight.
- Use the mysterious energy to inflict negative statuses on your enemies to weaken them.
- Speak with the bandits and intimidate them, making them weaker and easier to defeat.
- Speak with Qorro and surrender, which ends the fight. You are transported to a different place.
This example shows that many crises have additional tasks and hidden goals (by default they are turned on, but you can turn off crisis objectives in the options). You should experiment and use your environment to make the fights easier.
