NieR Automata: Game length NieR Automata guide, tips
Last update: 16 August 2021
On this page of our game guide, you will find information on how long it takes to complete NieR Automata. We have prepared several figures - for a single game completion, for finishing the campaign several times for 100% storyline, and for full completion and obtaining the platinum trophy.
- It should take you about 25-30 hours to complete the game the first time. The game has 10 chapters filled not only with the main quests but also, optional content expanding your knowledge of the game world and allowing you to earn XP and various rewards. Note that choosing a high or very high difficulty level (one hit = death) can significantly increase the game time.
- The game does not end with the first playthrough because more Routes are waiting with new playable characters. Completing these routes can double the total time of the game. Playing them is required if you want to watch the final game ending.
- The get the platinum trophy in Nier Automata, you have to spend at least 60 hours in the game. You will have to complete the main routes and do some additional actions. It is worth mentioning that there is a store with trophies in the game, which allows you to cheat and unlock them without meeting their requirements. Unlocking access to the store is not easy, so you can't get the platinum trophy in a short time.
- Unlocking 100% game content can be very time-consuming, although it is not required to win the platinum trophy. Finding all enemy intel or getting all the pieces of equipment can be really problematic. Some of these activities involve grinding, winning difficult fights, or advancing to the 99th level of experience.
- Game of the YoRHa Edition features a few extra hours of content. This is only a small addition to the main game.
