The fourth and final DLC for Borderlands 2, a post-apocalyptic action game developed by Gearbox Software that combines elements of FPS and RPG genre. The key character in the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep expansion is a crazy thirteen-year old girl who loves explosives. The fans of the series should know her from the basic version of Borderlands 2 as well as from the Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage expansion. The main theme of this expansion pack is a meta-session of table-top RPG game, Bunkers & Badasses – the local variation of Dungeons & Dragons. Tiny Tina plays the role of the dungeon master and the characters known from the first installment of Borderlands – Brick, Mordecai and Lilith – join the session. During the session Tina spontaneously changes the rules of the game, including character names, boss attributes or location layouts. Thanks to that the adventures in Borderlands 2 became unpredictable. The battles are of course played in a form typical for the series, from a first-person perspective.

January 7, 2010

The second DLC for Borderlands, a popular game from Gearbox Software that combines the mechanics of an FPS with RPG elements. Contrary to the previous expansion, which offered a separate storyline played in a new location, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot introduces three arenas where we fight subsequent waves of enemies either solo or alongside three other players. We will face not only old foes but also several entirely new ones, while it is always them who have us outnumbered, forcing the players to adopt an adequate tactic. It is also worth mentioning that the difficulty level is adjusted to the character’s level. Fighting this sort of battles is a great way to advance the protagonist’s experience level and to obtain both new weapons, either by looting them from dead enemies’ corpses or by receiving them as an award for a won round, and money, of course. The expansion also offers the possibility of unlocking two skill points and the bank that serves as a stash for currently unused items.

The first DLC for Borderlands, a successful action game that combines shooter with RPG elements. It was developed by Gearbox Software. Similarly to the vanilla version, the action of The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned takes place on the post-apocalyptic planet of Pandora, although in a completely new location: the town of Jakobs Cove, the inhabitants of which were accidentally transformed into bloodthirsty zombies by the mad doctor Ned. The player’s task is to restore normality, which is a perfect excuse for facing hordes of the living dead. There are many kinds of these—they can run, crawl, jump, spit acid, or detonate their body parts. Among them, there are also new powerful bosses. To defeat them, we’ll make use of new weapons and unique items. The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned offers 6 to 10 hours of gameplay. The expansion can be started by a character on level 10 at least. Compared to the basic version of the game, the production has an even larger dose of dark humor, with the locations being darker as well.
