Crab Champions is a dynamic looter shooter with roguelike elements. It was developed by the independent studio Noisestorm Limited.

Mechanics

Crab Champions makes use of the third-person perspective (TPP). We play as a brave crab, making its way through several exotic islands. We'll spend about 30-40 minutes on each island, facing various opponents, acquiring perks and equipment as well as completing challenges to unlock cosmetic items.

Alongside hordes of regular foes we'll also face powerful bosses. Our crab can wield a diverse range of guns, including pistols, rifles and shotguns. Combat and exploration both require dexterity and good reflexes; our crustacean must stay mobile to avoid enemy attacks, while traversing the islands requires it to avoid traps, obstacles and jump over pits.

Loot and hostile animals are placed on the maps randomly, making each run different than the last.

Game modes

Crab Champions is playable in singleplayer or co-op for up to four players.

Technical aspects

The visuals of Crab Champions are colorful and easily readable, making use of an appealing cartoonish artstyle. The game's primary creator, Noisestorm, is also responsible for the dubstep soundtrack.
