Underground is the first paid DLC that comes as a part of the season pass for The Division, an online action game by Ubisoft Massive that came out for PC, PS4 and XONE in March 2016. As a result of an agreement with Microsoft, the expansion was first made available to Xbox and PC users, and after about 5-week exclusivity period, it also launched on Sony platforms.
Mechanics
Underground for PC, PS4 and XONE does not introduce any significant changes in the gameplay mechanics, focusing on implemented a previously unavailable location and story missions connected to it. Just like the title suggests, in the game, we can explore the underground regions of New York, namely the narrow sewers and underground shafts as well as the system of tunnels and subway stations. Inside, not only will we find new enemies to defeat but also new, previously unavailable equipment. What’s interesting, the farther we go, the higher our chances of obtaining valuable and unique items are. Moreover, the underground instances of New York are randomly generated at every visit in order to make players feel lost and every battle a unique one.
