If you are not sure whether to sell a player, you can negotiate anyway - maybe an offer high enough will convince you.

You can of course not only buy players, but also sell them. There can be several reasons: a player that you don't need, a start that no longer is eager to play or simply a need to make place for other players. No matter the reason, you first have to receive an offer to negotiate the price. The easiest way is to change the player's status to not needed and putting him on the transfer list. You will increase your chance of selling a player when selecting the option Offer to clubs. The teams will receive an information about a given player being available. If you want to sell a player fast, the price has to be lower than market value.

You will also receive offers for players that are not on the list. In that case, if you decide to sell a player, you can negotiate a much higher price than the starting offer. If the offer is really high (it can happen in the case of smaller clubs that have a promising young player in the team), the board may automatically accept the offer and you will not be able to say anything.

Negotiating

When selling players, the rules are identical as when buying them. You can propose the same clauses and fees, for which your team will receive money. If you are selling a junior that you may want to buy back later, set an appropriate buy back price. It is good to mind the percentage from next transfer if you are selling a very talented player whose career will probably develop and they will be changing clubs. When negotiating the price, try to take as much as you can from the other club and remember that you don't receive the whole price, but the percentage agreed with the board. You can ask to board to raise it. You can check the current percentage in the Finances tab.

To sum up: try to negotiate in the same manner as other clubs negotiate with you. Be tough, ask for the highest possible price and think long-term, remembering about the clauses.
