After you come to a new club, take a look at the players. Some of the will not make it into the line-up of your team and it may be unnecessary to keep them on the paying list. It is a good idea to lend to other clubs, those of the players that you will not include in your team, where they will be receiving their pay.
2. Sell the players you do not need.
If, in your team, there are former stars that are not useful anymore, consider selling them to other clubs, where they still may be of use. This way, you will raise your transfer budget and, at the same time, cut your payment expenses. Selling a player, or breaking the contract is more effective in the situation of his dissatisfaction. Limiting the numbers of his performances in the first line-up, during games, will definitely contribute to this.
3. Find a patron club.
A patron club will allow you to obtain players, without the necessity to pay them their remuneration. This way, you will save money that you can appropriate to different expenses. An additional profit of having a patron club is the money check that you receive annually.
4. Organize friendly matches.
During intervals between individual matches, you ca arrange for several friendly matches. Select teams that are higher in the table than yours, to make your remuneration for the match as high as possible. Thanks to this, at a low own cost, you can obtain an amount of money that is significant for a small club.
5. Cut down the coaching staff.
Right after you come to the club, you can break contracts with the members of the coaching staff, by reaching "mutual consent". It is a good idea to use this option and break contracts with excess coaches.
6. Extend players' contracts personally.
It is very important to extend the players' contracts. When they are successful, or simply after the expiry of their contracts, players will demand higher pays. Leaving the decision to extend contracts in the hands of your assistant will deprive you of the option to negotiate the pay, which may be harmful to your finances. Often, players demand pays several-fold higher than they used to be, which you cannot afford. Proper negotiations will allow you to bring down the proposed amount, which, in the case of a dozen-or-so players is quite an amount saved.
7. Obtain free-transfer players .
Sometimes, you can bolster your team for free. Keep an eye on the transfer market, in search of players with no contracts and ones that do not have their own agents. Thanks to this, you will not have to pay compensation fee to the club, or to the agent, which will allow you to hire a player at a lower cost.
8. Do not give up in cups.
Cup matches, in spite of their lower priority, also provide you with income. Use this to your advantage and do not give in at the very beginning and after you make sufficient progress, try to win. If your team is one from a weaker league, and you play in European Cup, make it your highest item on your list of your priorities. The money that you obtain in Champions' League and, to a lesser extent, in the European League, is always a cash injection for several successive seasons.
9. Always negotiate.
Never accept the firs offer, regardless of whether you are selling or buying a player, or negotiating a contract. It is necessary that you make your own offer, because nearly always you can obtain, this way, a lower price or a lower salary. In the case of the latter, you can use the greed of the agents to your advantage - an one-time high pay for an agent allows you to negotiate lower salary for the player, which, as a result, makes for considerable savings in the long run.
10. Ask the Board for higher funds.
If you want to enjoy trust of the club's owners, you can always try your luck and file in a request to grant you additional funds. In the case of per-planned sale of a player, also try to increase the percentage of money that makes it into the transfer budget of your team, after a successful transaction.
