Football Manager 2016 provides you with many tools that let you analyze individual elements of the team. In the case of starting with a new club, it is best to learn about the squad as soon as possible and learn about assistants' suggestions, thanks to which you can pick the tactic for the base eleven. Remembering about those tools lets you analyze the team and tactic quickly, and enact suggestions of assistants and coaches.
1. Team depth
This is where you can learn opinions of your co-workers about all of the players, their assessments and their potential. Also, this is where you find out about the best possible make-up of the team. Team depth allows you to find out what is the best position for each of the players, and it categorizes players with respect to their usefulness for the team. This tool quickly shows you which formation is the weakest one and requires strengthening, or which players has the potential to become the star of the team. 2. Tactic analysis
Effectiveness of a given tactic is determined by the results attained by the team and whether, in a long run, it let you achieve goals that you set for the team. Knowing about in which minute you lose a goal, or which wing scores the most assisted plays, allows you to work out the minutest of details. Apart from that, analysis of tactics lets you compare them, thanks to which you quickly find out which one is the most effective. You can look up all of these in Tactic -> Analysis.
3. Backroom advice
Your staff are excellent observers who give you lots of advice on formation, players' status and the selected squad. You can read all of this information in Backroom advice, after you access Staff menu. Also, this will allow you to implement this information quickly, with only one click of the mouse.
