Totomostro - monster arena in Final Fantasy XV
Last update: 02 February 2017
You can find an arena in Altissia where you can bet on monster fights, allowing you to gain extremely valuable items. Medals are used as the currency of the game, although at the start you have to purchase them by using Gils. Afterwards, you will be able to select the beast (or group of monsters) that, in your opinion, will win the encounter. During the selection you will be presented with a number of attributes describing each monster. Those are:
- Odds - represents the ratio between the amounts staked by all betters. The greater the number, the better (higher) your medal reward will be. However, greater Odds increases the risks as well, increasing the chances that the monster won't be able to win the encounter.
- Condition - represents the physical form of each team. The higher the value (more blue arrows in the gauge), the better the monster will perform on the arena.
- Team Composition - you should note the level of the creature. After several bouts you should be able to tell which monsters are more likely to emerge victorious.
You won't be able to influence the encounter directly. However, there's one way to influence the outcome of the battle: by using special horns. Those can be purchased near the gondola station, right next to the arena.
Name | Effect | Price |
Horn of Fortitude | Restores health. | Available from the start |
Horn of Resolve | Increases attack attribute. | 30,00 Gil |
Horn of Tenacity | Increases defense attribute. | 24,000 Gil |
Horn of Cleansing | Removes all negative status effects. | 8,000 Gil |
Horn of Madness | Significantly increases attack while lowering defense. | 18,000 Gil |
There are three possible outcomes of the battles. If your team wins, you will be given the Medals you've bet, multiplied by the Odds value. If your team loses, you won't get any medals. If there is draw, you will get back all of the medals you've waged.
You can use medals to acquire the following items:
