Noctis and the gang travel by train again. This time, however, the journey is quite different and the appearance of Ardyn foreshadows the beginning of serious problems.

Follow Ardyn.

Run straight ahead and look for Ardyn. Open the only door in the car and confront the chancellor several cars away. Unfortunately, your conversation will be abruptly interrupted. Head to the end of the train where a group of imperial soldiers await you. You will encounter more enemies from now on - all of them are vulnerable to lightning-based spells and weapons, so it's worth it to equip those on your character.

Focus on eliminating Shock Troopers.

Sooner or later the enemies will blow up one of the cars - you now have to confront those foes. Note that the imperial soldiers are trying to destroy the train - you have to eliminate them quickly and make sure they won't succeed. Focus on eliminating Shock Troopers, as those enemies deal the highest amount of damage. Daggers are especially effective against them.

Destroy the tank before it can fire.

At some point a tank will appear in the area. Use a warp-strike to quickly teleport to it and take it down. The action will then move on top of the train and you will face more imperial soldiers.

Afterwards, teleport to the dropships above the train, enter them and destroy the shock troopers located inside. Note that once you take them out a timer will appear on the screen - you have to leave the dropship by teleporting to another one before it reaches zero. The chapter will end once you destroy four of those dropships.
