Jayma the Hunter | Walkthrough Far Cry Primal Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Turn on the Hunter Vision to locate bear tracks. Continue along the trail and examine the destruction left by the bear (human corpses, for instance) in a number of places, which will give you some experience points. Two Bee Hives can be found along the way - if you haven't constructed the Bee Bomb yet, you can use the hives to make one now. After some time you should reach a small island, on which you will have to locate the bear.
The bear travels around the whole island. You can locate it by following its scent, symbolized by a yellow cloud. Try not to get spotted by the animal and approach it from the side. During the first moments of encounter you should use the element of surprise, as taking the enemy head-on will allow it to deal massive damage. Use the bait to lure the enemy, and then throw your spear at it, preferably in the head. Do so again with another spear, and send your wolf to get the enemy attention - this should give you plenty of time to finish off the beast.
This can be done either with your arrows (aimed at the head), or by pummeling the bear with your club. In case of the latter approach, avoid standing in the open and hide behind trees to decrease the chances of taking damage. Remember about burning arrows, which can quickly take down the beast. Afterwards, skin the animal and head towards the nearby grotto.
As a reward for hunting down the beast, Jayma the Hunter will join your village. This will also unlock a new ability, allowing you to mark enemies, which should be useful while capturing outposts and attacking unaware enemies.
