Collectibles | Legend of the Mammoth Far Cry Primal Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Far Cry: Primal offers 5 kinds of collectibles scattered around Oros. As you unlock the map and buy new skills, the items will be marked on your map when you get close enough (for the first time).
In this guide, the map of Oros has been divided into three parts, each of them has specific icons symbolizing a collectible, along with a number signifying its location. This way, if you have any trouble, you can check the related description to see some tips.
Cave paintings (22)
This kind of a collectible can only be found inside caves. These places are sometimes heavily guarded, sometimes antidote is required. Usually you will need the grappling claw (except the caves closest to the village).
Remember to use the hunter vision in every cave. Don't forget to come prepared with some clubs that you may turn into torches. Locate red tracks (footprints and handprints) because they show you the way to go. You can also ignite bonfires on your way to remember your path.
The caves are filled with various obstacles (ice, rocks, bushes) that you can destroy or burn. Sometimes you need to use the water and swim to the adjacent room.
Some places require long jumps for Takkar to catch a ledge (overgrown, yellow in hunter vision). Remember about a proper run-up. Jump as late as it's possible, so that the leap is longer.
When you think you're lost, look for tracks or spots you can grab or use the grappling claw on.
Cave paintings are located on walls. To get them, clear the area around them (e.g. burn the bushes) and light them up with a torch.
Daysha Hands (100)
The most common items. You can find some of them inside the caves, but the rest is scattered across Oros in various places - usually, they are clearly visible, some of them require some climbing to reach. To get a Daysha Hand, approach a rock with a white hand on it (interact).
Spirit Totems (12)
You will receive Spirit Totems when you place them on small altars. The first one can be acquired during the "Spirit Totem" sidequest. Finding them is relatively easy and each one rewards you with an XP boost.
Izila masks (25)
Izila masks are collectibles that you need to shoot. Use the hunter vision to find them more easily.
Wenja bracelets (25)
Wenja bracelets are small items that are sometimes well hidden, e.g. in grass. After you locate it on the map, you will get to a blue area - the collectible is somewhere within it. Use the hunter vision and listen to the music - the closer you are to the item, the louder it gets.
