Izila Land | Walkthrough Far Cry Primal Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Note: This mission gets unlocked by getting close to the place shown in the screenshot. Unlocking the Mammoth Rider ability is required to mount mammoths.
When you reach the designated spot, you'll find a mammoth in a narrow passage. Do not attack it - mount it instead. Head for the nearby gate and use charge to ram it.
When you get inside, don't worry about the enemies, just run forward, killing as many as it's possible. When you clear the area, dismount the mammoth and talk to one of the Wenja.
Note: Do not ram the gate with the mammoth or you'll kill your ally. Get down and destroy it with a club.
Your next objective is to rescue the Wenja warriors, located in three spots shown on the map.
Izila village
First, the Izila village, located in the middle of this area. You need to rescue three hostages. Try to remain unseen, because it will facilitate the whole process. Don't use an animal or choose one that's good at stealth. Using an owl for reconnaissance is a good idea.
When entering the village, go to the cage on the left first. You'll see a single enemy skinning prey. Get rid of him quietly, then destroy the cage and free the Wenja hostage. Move to the eastern part of the area and kill a single enemy near the corner. Now you can approach the cage. When you move to the last ally, watch out while getting out to the open area. If the enemies see you now, don't fight the whole village - destroy the cage, free the ally and run for your life. Killing all enemies is not required for finishing the objective.
Training grounds
This place is located in the southwestern part of the map. Approach it from the bonfire located a bit higher. That's how you will reach the first part of the village, where one cage is guarded by three enemies. They are standing at just the right distance from each other, so you can eliminate them quickly. Use an owl to tag the enemies and move to the camp.
Kill the enemy closest to the path, then another one, near the cage. The third one can be found on the other side, circling a house. Remember to aim for the head when the enemy looks away. If you have a proper skill, you can use an owl. Don't forget about rescuing the hostage after you clear the higher part of the training grounds.
In the second part, you can use one of two solutions - there is a mammoth in the settlement, you can enrage it. Use the distraction to destroy the cage and save your tribesman. Afterwards, run away from the training grounds.
Alternatively, you can approach the cage quietly from the side of the bonfire. You will see a single enemy there. Killing him with a single shot will be difficult, since he's wearing head armor. A takedown should be more effective - to do it, throw a rock to the opposite side and sneak up on the enemy. The path to the cage is now clear. In case of getting detected, running to the cage is easier than fighting everyone.
Suhli altar
The last point of your trip is a place in the eastern part of this area. Just like in previous parts, be careful, especially now, since this camp holds quite lot of well armed enemies. Regardless of the side you approach from, move steadily, killing the enemies currently unseen by their allies.
The best way is to clear the path to the cage and approach it stealthily. The less enemies you kill, the smaller your chance of getting detected. When you open one cage and get detected, just run to another. Rescuing these hostages will allow you to attack the temple.
Note: The rest of this mission becomes available after completing "The Mask of Krati" quest.
Temple assault
First, talk up to the rope and cut it. Then find a vantage point near the obelisk and wait until your allies push it to the other side, clearing the way. Meanwhile, keep shooting the Izila guards on the opposite side.
When the path is clear, go towards the temple. Takkar will put a mask on, which will make the enemies run away. Proceed through the temple, collecting supplies on the way. At the end, you will fight against Batari.
Batari
The fight against Batari is based on a regular pattern. First, find the platform she stands on. She will stay there for around 75% of the fight, so you will have to use ranged weapons to hurt her. First of all, destroy 4 burning obstacles that Batari hides behind - she won't be able to hide, so aiming will become easier.
When you leave a cover, remember that Batari shoots flaming arrows. Therefore, having enough South purple leaves and Meat to craft the Fireproof recipe. Try to stay behind a cover. A bow with double arrows and a spear are great for this part. Hitting Batari in the head will deal quite a lot of damage - you can find some spears and other materials in the arena.
You can alternatively use an owl to fight Batari. When you summon it, throw all available bombs at the boss. You can combine it with throwing spears - when you drop a Beehive on her, you will get an opportunity for several perfect hits.
While fighting Batari, she will call reinforcements three times. She will become inactive (she won't attack and she will become immune to all attacks). Your task now is to stop the attack coming from two directions. Remember to summon an animal and kill the weakest enemies first. Heavy units with burning clubs are the toughest ones - when they attack your animal, strike them as hard as you can (spears, Beehives, just use the most powerful weapons to get rid of them. When you defeat a wave, Batari starts attacking again and the pattern is repeated.
When Batari's health reaches around 20%, she will get down from the platform and join the fight. You should stop worrying about the regular enemies and focus on the boss. Kill her as fast as it's possible, because it will end the quest. Use a strong beast (e.g. cave bear) and attack Batari with spears and bombs. Defeating her will complete the mission.
