Hunting towers | Additional novelties of The Following Dying Light: The Following Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Hunting Towers are unique locations in The Following that can be discovered as you explore the world map. They have several purposes:
- Once Crane is dead, he doesn't have to start in a Safe Zone if there is an unlocked Hunting Tower nearby.
- At the top of a tower you will often find valuable resources or locked treasure chests.
- Hunting Towers are sometimes used by merchants or civilians who seek help.
- Each Hunting Tower provides shelter from all the basic types of creatures and a chance to look around the nearest surrounding area (this is useful when you want to raid a nearby camp occupied by bandits).
Note - Apart from observation towers, you can also discover Safe Zones, whose role is the same as in the original campaign (protection from zombies, stash, friendly and hostile characters). Some of the safe zones will be inaccessible, at first, even after you have eliminated all of the monsters and secured all entrances. In such cases, the additional requirement is to complete Power to the People side quest, which is about restoring power supply to areas that the DLC covers (you can find walkthrough for tat quest in a separate chapter of this guide).
