How to fill the car with gas? | Additional novelties of The Following Dying Light: The Following Guide

There are certain limitations to the usage of buggy, because it needs fuel. The gauge is in the bottom-right corner of the screen and it has been marked in the above screenshot. Do not wait until you have completely run out of gas, because you may stop unexpectedly in a dangerous area and you will have to run from the zombies, or kill them before you can continue the ride.

You can "pilfer" fuel from abandoned cars

There are two different ways to obtain fuel. The first one is stealing fuel from the abandoned vehicles that you find around the game world. Each time you find one, interact with the fuel cap (usually in the rear of the vehicle). Basing on your luck, you either obtain fuel, or leave empty-handed.

Check dispensers for each gas station that you visit

Another way of obtaining fuel is visiting local gas stations. One of the first stations that you find is, probably, the one run by Bilal, but there are others. After you reach the gas station, interact with the dispensers there. In this case, each attempt should end in a success.

Note - A good idea is to hoard fuel. This is a good idea especially that it does not take up active slots in the inventory.

After you find fuel, you still need to fill your car's tank. Exit the car, find the fuel cap in its rear part (the above screenshot) and hold down the interaction button. If there is not too much fuel in the tank right now, you can do this several times, thanks to which you will not need to repeat after several miles that you cover.

Note - On the Driver skill tree, there are skills, thanks to which fuel consumption drops. These are Fuel Efficiency and Fuel Efficiency II. However, this is optional to unlock those skills because, as long as you remember to check the vehicles you find, you will never have problems with that.
