Free Anton Sokolov | Mission 4 Dishonored 2 Guide
Last update: 28 November 2016
Note - You could just as well go to the main hall right away, straight to the evacuation chamber, and proceed with the objective (saving Anton Sokolov). But if you would rather search the mansion and find all the hidden secrets, read the notes below.
At the beginning, approach the passageway from the screenshot, and move the lever. It's a way that leads straight to the exit. At the end, unlock the door, and return to the laboratory. This way will prove to be useful when saving Sokolov. Once you entered the laboratory, enter the first hall on the left, and search it. You should find a maintenance key and a stun mine. The main entrance to Jindosh's apartment is located at the end of the way.
If you have not touched any lever in the beginning, you should see the same view as above. There are three configurations - bathroom/bedroom, bedroom/library, and library/bathroom. Listen to another audiograph lying on the table on the right, then activate the first lever, and stand on the tile shown on the screenshot. This will unlock Jindosh's hidden repository, resulting in completing a special action. The room should contain from 300 to 400 coins, and a button which will take you back upstairs.
Once you press the button, jump to the room on the left before the walls stop moving. As a result, you'll reach the second configuration, with a new painting to pick up. To get it you'll need to move the lever two times, and move to the right before the walls stop their movement. The painting hangs on the wall to the left (screenshot). The same room also contains an exit from Jindosh's apartment.
Visit the room on the left (which you've passed through earlier) and activate the lever. A small room will come out from the floor, with a button inside. Once it's activated, the room will start to rotate, and you'll find next bone charm on the floor.
Go through the door which you've used while going after Jindosh (see the screenshot) and eliminate a clockwork soldier patrolling the area. Use the third level stun mine to get rid of him easily. When the robot is down, enter the elevator and choose the first floor, in other words the assessment chamber.
Note - When you put the elevator into motion, jump to its roof. Otherwise the guards below can notice you.
When you reach the location from the screenshot, wait until the guards fan out, and eliminate them in a right moment. The bodies can be hidden in the area to the right, but watch out for civilians that walk around the kitchen. Eliminate them before you hide the bodies.
After clearing the lower section, and taking care of the bodies, turn right and search the kitchen. You should find a whale bone inside. Once the room is cleared, move the lever seen on the screenshot and crouch. When an opportunity arises, eliminate two civilians and a guard patrolling the right side of the corridor.
Note - When taking care of two civilians, let them end their conversation first. If you interrupt them, you'll be easily detected.
If you haven't picked up the bone charm at the beginning of your trek through the residence, but chosen to jump through the window to eliminate the guards, activate the lever once again, and enter a small crevice to reach upstairs. The bone charm can be found on the right side, while the left side contains the pylon's power supply, which needs to be cut off. Once the deed is done, return to the evaluation chamber.
The guard patrolling the corridor should be eliminated using a sleep dart. After elimination, go to the room, and pick up another bone charm which is hidden in the drawer.
Once you gather all the secrets, return to the assessment chamber and go downstairs. The chamber itself contains a few pressure-sensitive tiles that change the configuration of the whole set, while your task is to reach Sokolov and move him to a safe location. Don't forget that the chamber is guarded by a single clockwork soldier, who can be eliminated at any moment using a third level stun mine. However, if you want to accomplish a secret objective, you cannot get detected, or destroy the guard.
If you want to accomplish the secret objective, activate the first lever, stand on a pressure tile, and use far reach or blink to the upper right corner of the chamber the moment the walls start to move. Once the maneuver is completed, you should be in the ammo room.
If you made it, move to the left corner and activate a pressure-sensitive tile that is located there. You should be in the location shown on the screenshot. The middle corridor is blocked by planks blocking access to the next pressure-sensitive tile, which needs to be shot at using the crossbow. If the clockwork solider stands on it, you'll need to wait until he goes off to patrolling other sections. When he is out of the picture, stand on the center tile to unlock Sokolov's room which is located on the right. The room also contains a new addition to your collection: - a painting called "The Blood Topology of Grim Alex".
After the conversation with Sokolov, take his body, and stand on the pressure plate visible above. Of course, you need to choose a moment when the clockwork guard is away from this area.
If the guard is on the right, Blink to the left corridor, which is seen on the screenshot.
There is a corridor behind the corner, containing a pressure plate. Stand on it to exit the chamber.
Note - While proceeding to the elevator, you'll need to place Sokolov in a safe location (preferably even by the stairs), as the elevator will spew a few guards to keep you on your toes. Eliminate them before proceeding further.
When you got rid of them, enter the elevator and ride to the first floor, or the visitation chamber. However, you still need to exercise caution, as if you haven't deactivated the arc pylon, you'll need to do that before moving further. Don't forget about a lone guard patrolling the area.
There is a hall ahead of you that leads to the exit. However, watch out for patrolling guards and an inactive clockwork soldier. Attack them in a right moment, and start ransacking the floor.
The guest chamber houses a guard sleeping on a bench. Stun him, and take his key, which will allow you to open the exit door to the right (Waiting Room Key). The adjacent room contains a new blueprint and a large amount of valuables.
Once you investigated all the rooms, take Sokolov and proceed to the antechamber. Pick up a map hanging on the wall, and break a case containing a collectible to be exhibited in your quarters on Dreadful Whale. If the way is blocked after opening the door, you'll need to move the lever on the right. Watch out - you'll activate a clockwork soldier who will guard the antechamber. Use a stun mine to get rid of him.
After leaving the clockwork mansion, you'll board the tram automatically. Choose Lower Aventa from the list, to return to Meagan. When you've reached your destination, leave the tram and proceed to the location shown above. The street below is patrolled by three witches. First, access the roof located in the upper part of the screenshot, and eliminate the guarding witch. Eliminate remaining witches in the same way. Once you got rid of them, take Sokolov and visit Meagan to end the mission.
