This page of the DBD guide contains a description of the killer Trickster. On this page, you will find a description of the perks and powers he possesses.
Basic information
The Trickster is a killer capable of damaging survivors from a distance.
- Name: Ji-Woon Hak,
- Height: Moderate,
- Terror Radius: 24 meters,
- Movement speed: 4.4 m/s,
- Difficulty level: Moderate,
- DLC: Yes.
Power and perks
The Trickster's main power is very simple, being a large supply of throwing knives. Each hit increases the survivor's laceration meter - hitting them six times makes them lose a health state.
The Trickster can carry up to 44 knives total. He can restock them at Lockers once he runs out.
Each successful hit fills up the Trickster's Event Meter. Once it's full, you can activate The Main Event. It's an alternate super mode during which you have unlimited knives and your throwing speed massively increases.
The Trickster's unique perks are also quite good.
Icon | Perk | Effect |
No Way Out | You get 1 token for each survivor you hang on a hook for the first time. The perk activates when the exit gates are powered. When a survivor interacts with the exit gate switch, you receive a notification and the Entity blocks both exits for 12 seconds and another 6/9/12 seconds for each token held, up to a total maximum of 36/48/60 seconds.
Starstruck | The perk activates when you pick up a survivor. Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect when in your terror radius. The effect lasts for 26/28/30 seconds after they leave the radius. Starstruck deactivates once you hook or drop the carried survivor: The status effect lasts for 26/28/30 seconds more for any survivor within your terror radius at the moment.
Hex: Crowd Control | Each time a survivor makes a rushed vault through a window, this window is blocked by the Entity for 20 seconds. The perk stays in effect until its totem is cleansed. |
How to play the Trickster?
The Trickster, similarly to other ranged killers, has a movement speed of 4,4 m/s. This makes area control on large maps very difficult for him.
Due to the number of knives he can throw, the Trickster is good at countering the survivors' evasive maneuvers. On the other hand, he's not very good at aiming through narrow pathways. He's better off throwing his knives at enemies located in open spaces.
Examplary build
Here's an examplary build we've prepared for the Trickster.
