This page of the DBD guide contains a description of the killer Dredge. On this page, you will find a description of the perks and powers he possesses.
Basic information
Dredger is an oppressive killer that is able to move efficiently around the map. In addition, because of his power, he is able to attack by surprise.
- Height: Tall,
- Terror Radius: 32 meters,
- Movement speed: 4.6 m/s,
- Difficulty level: Moderate,
- DLC: Yes.
Power and perks
The Dredge has the ability to teleport between lockers. By default, it has three teleportation charges, allowing you to move between several points. In the basic version, teleportation is free.
As you deal damage, a darkness bar will begin to fill up. When it is filled, darkness will prevail over the entire map. Because of this the survivors will have limited visibility. In addition, the teleportation speed will increase.
Dredge also has anti-loop ability. When you start the teleportation process, you leave behind a remnant. If you choose not to teleport and move with a charged ability, you will be able to return to the remnant.
The Dredge perks' usefulness heavily depends on the situation, and they work well only on specific killers.

Darkness Revealed | When you search a locker, the auras of all survivors within 8 meters of any locker are revealed for 3/4/5 seconds. The perk has a 3- seconds cooldown.
Dissolution | 3 seconds of injuring a survivor, the perk activates for 12/16/20 seconds. If, during this time, a survivor fast vaults over a pallet while being in your Terror Radius, the pallet will be destroyed by The Entity.
Septic Touch | Whenever a survivor performs a healing action while being within your Terror Radius, the survivor suffers Blindness and the Exhausted status effects. These effects last for 6/8/10 seconds after healing is interrupted. |
How to play with Dredge?
The Dredge is a character that emphasizes high dynamics. This means that you will often move over long distances. This way, you can easily oversee the generators. This is possible because the maps are constructed in such a way that you will find lockers near most generators.
It is also important that you break the locks of lockers in strategic places, such as the main building or the killers' hut, as soon as possible. This way, in the later phases of the game, you can use teleportation to surprise a survivor.

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. | At the beginning of the game, 4 Hex Hooks appear on the map. If you hook a Survivor on one of them, the generator with the higher progression will explode and lose 9/12/15% of repair progression. The survivors working on the generator will scream, but their position will not be revealed.
Barbecue & Chilli | After hanging a survivor on a hook, the auras of survivors more than 60/50/40 meters away from you will be revealed for 4 seconds.
Deadlock | Repairing a generator causes the Entity to block the generator with the most progression for 20/25/30 seconds.
Iron Maiden | You open lockers 30/40/50% faster. Survivors who exit lockers will have the Exposed status effect imposed for 30 seconds and scream, revealing their aura for 4 seconds. |
