Patch 7.7.0 introduced many new things to Dead by Daylight. The game received a new store design, as well as modifications for some killers and perks. In the last two days, we have written about moving the game to the Unreal Engine 5 and new location for Shrine of Secrets. However, the update also introduced some very small changes. One of them is a brand new easter egg and a related achievement. From this guide you will learn where to find Tanuki.
How to Find Tanuki in DBD?
After patch 7.7.0 in Yamaoka Estate you can find new easter egg. It’s a small Tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog) that’s hiding somewhere. It appears on both maps from this realm (Family Residence and Sanctum of Wrath), so if you want to look for it, just burn the offering Yamaoka Family Crest.
When you end up in the right location, you have to look for a raccoon. His spawn is completely random, so you must keep searching. He’s often located near the borders of the map. So, you can look for him simply by running along the fence. In addition, it’s also worth checking the rocks. Tanuki is not particularly well hidden, so it will be hard to miss.
The creature comes in the form of a traditional statue (you can see it in the graphic below). However, when you approach, it will transform into an animal and then disappear completely.
When you find Tanuki and see the transformation, you will unlock secret Tanuki in the Fog achievement. So, if you are hunting for trophies then you can easily get one.
