This page of the DBD guide contains a description of the Killer - The Wraith. On this page, you will find a description of the perks and powers he possesses.
Basic information
The Wraith is by far the easiest killer to play as. His power is based on invisibility and does not require so much skill. Therefore, it is an ideal choice for the beginners.
- Name: Philip Ojomo;
- Height: Tall;
- Terror Radius: 32 meters;
- Movement speed: 4.6 m/s (uncloaked), 6 m/s (cloaked);
- Difficulty level: Very easy;
- DLC: None, available in the base game.
Powers and perks
The Wraith's power is Wailing Bell, which allows him to become invisible. In this state, the Killer is:
- Undetectable;
- Suppressed of Terror Radius (unless a special add-on is used);
- Virtually invisible (only the light refraction can be seen);
- Faster (movement speed reaches 6 m/s).
However, remember that being invisible means you can only destroy objects. Attacking Survivors is not available in this state.
The Wraith's perks on the other hand are quite poor. They are not very powerful and will not be of much use during the game.

Predator | Scratch marks left by Survivors spawn slightly/moderately/considerably more often.
Bloodhound | Pools of Blood are more visible and stay on the ground 2/3/4 seconds longer.
Shadowborn | FOV is increased by 9/12/15 degrees. |
How to play The Wraith?
As we mentioned before, in cloaked mode, you are unable to attack. However, you still can destroy objects. Therefore, the skill is best used to move quickly around the map and effectively patrol the areas near generators.
If you choose to uncloak, Survivors within a 26-meter radius will hear your Bell (this can be changed with the appropriate add-ons). However, they will not be able to determine the source of the sound and where exactly you are. Hence always cover behind some kind of obstacle to avoid being spotted. This way you will be able to surprise them.
In addition, for a second after uncloaking, you get a significant speed bonus. Thanks to it, you can significantly reduce the distance to your victim.
Exemplary builds
It's a good idea to choose a build for The Wraith that will make it easier to detect Survivors and slow down generator progression. In this case, two perk configurations will be described.
The first build is based only on perks that are available to all Killers from the beginning of the game. It is not perfect, but it is available for players who only begin the adventure with this title.

Bitter Murmur | Each time a generator is repaired, the auras of Survivors within 16 meters radius is revealed to you for 5 seconds. When the last generator is repaired, the auras of all Survivors are revealed for 5/7/10 seconds.
Jolt | When you put a Survivor in Dying State, every generator within your 32-meter range will explode and lose 6/7/8% repair progression.
Hex: No One Escapes Death | When the Exit Gate is powered up and a Dull Totem remains on the map, Hex activates and causes:
These effects last until the Hex Totem is cleansed. When the perk activates, the Hex Totem reveals its aura to all Survivors within a 4-meter radius and gradually extends this range to 24 meters within 30 seconds.
Sloppy Butcher | Wounds inflicted by Basic Attacks impose Haemorrhage and Mangled Status Effects on a Survivor. It also increases the health loss speed caused by Hemorrhage by 15/20/25%. |
In this case, you slow down generators repairing process by inflicting damage on Survivors. If you injure them, Sloppy Butcher will cause them to heal slower. On the other hand, a knock down will cause generators in your Terror Radius to explode.
Bitter Murmur allows you to discover the location of Survivors and determine where they are headed. In addition, with the help of this perk, you can quickly trace vulnerable survivors in the endgame.
The second build already uses the perks of other Killers.

Discordance | Any Generator within a range of 64/96/128 meters, repaired by 2 or more Survivors, is indicated by a yellow aura.
| |
Lethal Pursuer | At the beginning of the match, the auras of all Survivors are revealed for 7/8/9 seconds. In addition, this perk increases the revealing time of the Survivor's aura by 2 seconds.
Barbecue & Chilli | After hanging a Survivor on a hook, the auras of Survivors more than 60/50/40 meters away from you will be revealed for 4 seconds.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. | At the beginning of the game, 4 Hex Hooks appear on the map. If you hook a Survivor on one of them, the generator with the higher progression will explode and lose 9/12/15% of repair progression. The survivors working on the generator will scream, but their position will not be revealed. |
In this case, you rely on tracking the location of the Survivors. You know where they are at the beginning of the match and after someone is hooked. You are also aware of whether they are repairing the generators together. So you can easily hunt them down.
