Basic information
Compared to other killers, Michael Myers is very weak. This is mainly due to his power.
- Name: Michael Myers,
- Height: Tall,
- Difficulty level: Difficult,
- DLC: Yes.
Power and perks
Myers' main power - Evil Within - is quite unique. It requires you to stalk the survivors. The longer you stalk, the more powerful you become. The Shape's power has three tiers.
- At Tier 1, Myers is completely undetectable. His attack range, however, is reduced, and his movement speed is only 4,2 m/s.
- At Tier 2 he loses his undetectability and has a 16-meters terror radius. His attack range is normal and his movement speed is 4,6 m/s.
- Tier 3 lasts 60 seconds. When it's active, all survivors become Exposed. His attack range is increased, so is his vaulting time. Tier 3 Myers has a terror radius of 32 meters and the movement speed of 4,6 m/s. Once the 60 seconds are up, the Shape drops back to Tier 2 and can start stalking his victims again to get back to Tier 3.
You must know each survivor can only be stalked for a limited time before they stop charging your tier progress. The survivor's outline will let you know how much more you can get out of stalking them - the redder it is, the closer to the cap you are.
Add-ons are extremely important when playing as the Shape. They don't just enhance his power but can completely change his playstyle. For example, one of the add-ons can permanently lock Myers at Tier 1 of Evil Within. In return it grants him the ability to see the auras of survivors in the radius 32 meters.
Out of the Shape's unique perks one is excellent, one is moderately useful and one is extremely weak. All of them emphasize the obsession mechanic.
Icon | Perk | Effect |
Save the Best for Last | Each time you hit someone other than the obsession with a basic attack, you get 1 token, up to a maximum of 8 tokens:
Once the obsession is sacrificed, you can neither gain nor lose any tokens.
Play with your Food | Each time you let your obsession get away, you receive a token (up to 3). Each token increases your movement speed by 3/4/5%. When you attack, you lose one token.
Dying Light | Your obsession gains a 33% speed bonus to unhooking and healing other survivors. Each time you hook a different survivor (while the obsession is alive), you receive a token. Each token reduces repair, healing and sabotage speed of all survivors except the obsession by 2/2,5/3%. |
How to play the Shape?
You should keep in mind the Shape is currently one of the competitively weakest killers in the entire game. This, of course, doesn't mean choosing him is an automatic loss for you.
Try not to get into long chases with a single survivor, especially if your Stalk meter is low. This will make reaching a higher tier much more difficult. Target groups instead.
It's also a good idea to stay at Tier 2 with 99% of the meter filled. This makes it so you can near-instantly reach Tier 3 the very moment you need it the most.

Surveillance | Each regressing generator gains a white outline. If someone interrupts the regression process, the generator gains a yellow outline for 8/12/16 seconds. Generator repair noises can be heard from 8 meters farther than normal.
Lethal Pursuer | At the beginning of a match, the auras of all survivors are revealed to you for 7/8/9 seconds. Extends the effect of other perks based on reveal aura by 2 seconds.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. | At the beginning of the game, 4 Hex Hooks appear on the map. If you hook a Survivor on one of them, the generator with the higher progression will explode and lose 9/12/15% of repair progression. The survivors working on the generator will scream, but their position will not be revealed.
Bamboozle | Vaulting through a window is 5/10/15% faster and blocks the window for the survivor for 8/12/16 seconds. |
