What is the age rating of Days Gone?
The European rating agency PEGI rated the production of the Bend Studio as intended only for adult audiences (18+ rating). The American-Canadian ESRB organization assigned the M-rating to the game (for Mature audiences). Over the course of the game, you can often witness brutal or repulsive scenes. Vulgar language is also used quite frequently. The game does not include any sex or erotic scenes.
Does Days Gone have different endings?
No, Days Gone only has one main ending. Initially, it was supposed to have several endings depending on the choices made by the player during gameplay. However, the developers eventually dropped this idea and the entire main storyline is linear and predetermined.
Shortly after completing the main storyline, the player can unlock a secret ending. Check the Secret ending page to learn about the requirements. To get it, you have to complete a short quest during which Deacon will meet with one of the NPCs.
Do moral choices appear in Days Gone?
No, the authors abandoned the idea of including moral choices in Days Gone during production. The developers justify this by wanting to make the main character more distinctive. All the main quests in the game have a linear structure.
Only minor choices appear in Days Gone. Deacon, after completing one of the story missions, can decide who he wants to deliver the medicine to. In addition, the survivors that are found can be sent back to different camps and thus gain various profits. The choices made in Days Gone do not in any way affect the game's storyline, which has a pre-determined course.
How long is Days Gone?
Completing the main storyline of the game should take a minimum of 30 hours. It is obvious that this time will certainly be extended by the exploration of the world and the completion of side missions. The creators assure, however, that the player's choices will also affect the duration of the gameplay. The game world in Days Gone is divided into six vast regions and in each region there is a mass of attractions to discover. Apparently, there are ways for the player to shorten or extend the story by several hours.
Does Days Gone have an online/co-op mode?
Days Gone is a production intended only for one player. The creators wanted each player to face the dangerous world as lonely as the main character. Therefore, the game does not have an online or a co-op mode.
What can attack Deacon in Days Gone?
In Days Gone, you will find a variety of opponents. Each of them will want to deprive you of your life. It is a dangerous world, and you can only count on yourself and your weapon.
In Days Gone, you will face the following types of enemies:
- Human opponents - they are found mainly in cities, in destroyed buildings. Living enemies can use firearms and/or melee weapons.
- Freakers - these are mutated/infected people who move around in herds. If you do not have to, do not attack them, just run. Maybe one zombie is not a threat to you, but a dozen freakers will deprive you of your life in an instant. Freakers appear in different varieties. These can be, among other types, zombie-children (called newts) or individuals characterized by a much greater resistance to the attacks of your hero. Freakers can also travel around the world in Hordes, which include from 50 to 500 monsters.
- Animals - in Days Gone there are various animals that lurk in the woods. These may be deer, but also wolves or, e.g. bears, that will attack after detecting the hero.
Is fast travel in Days Gone?
As the Days Gone game has a large, open world, there is a quick travel feature available. However, in order to unlock it, you must reach a friendly encampment or first clear out the location where you want to travel to of any opponents. Once captured, the place will not be re-settled by enemies.

Can Deacon crawl?
By default crawling is an unavailable in Days Gone. When you push circle the main character can only sit down and sneak up in this position. Deacon will lie down on the ground and begin to crawl only in the places planned by the authors. In the example from the above image one of these places is the barricade located on the outskirts of the enemy camp. Deacon can squeeze under it, and automatically performs this operation after you get close enough.
Can you kill children in Days Gone?
The answer to this question is not that simple. The main character encounters monsters called newts while on his journey. Their appearance suggests that the transformation into a Freaker occurred when the person was still a child. At no point in the game, however, is there a clear statement that we are dealing with, e.g. zombie-children. The newts we encounter are, of course, hostile to Deacon, and they can attack him and will try to kill him if he does not decide to defend against them.
Why did I fail a mission?
Some quests in Days Gone have a very linear character and you can fail them in several ways besides the death of the main hero:
- A mission may be interrupted if you move beyond its designated zone. The game should display a warning on your screen, which will state that you are leaving the mission area.
- The same applies to situations in which you have to follow someone (on foot or on a motorcycle). You cannot be too far away from such a person.
- A mission can also end in failure if the game requires that you act without being detected. Should any opponents be alerted to Deacon's presence, you will fail the mission.
Can you ride down ladders in Days Gone?
Unfortunately, no, Days Gone does not provide such a possibility. You have to descend in a traditional fashion even if Deacon is forced to, e.g. climb down from a very tall lookout tower.
Can Deacon swim?
No, the main character cannot swim. After entering deep water, a bar will be displayed on your screen, and if you do not reach the shore quickly enough, the hero will unfortunately drown. This obstacle does not apply to rivers and very shallow reservoirs, where the water only reaches the ankles or the waist of the character.
Which difficulty level should you choose?
We recommend playing the campaign on the normal or high difficulty level. Days Gone contains some survival elements (you must, e.g. look around for supplies and use medication to restore Deacon to full health), but it is not a very demanding production after all.
It is worth noting that the difficulty level is not related to any of the basic trophies available in the game. You can freely change it during the playthrough or you can simply choose the low difficulty level if you only wish to get the platinum trophy as soon as possible. There are DLC trophies associated with higher difficulty levels in the game, but they are not required to unlock platinum.
Does Days Gone have a Photo Mode?
Yes, Days Gone has a very comprehensive Photo Mode. You can turn it on after pausing the game and selecting the Photo Mode option from the pause menu. The photo mode will be temporarily disabled while watching cutscenes or during the display of animations that are impossible to stop.
You can switch between the main tabs of the photo mode by using the L1 and R1 buttons. Additionally, pressing the X button displays more advanced settings. Before you take a picture, press the triangle button to hide the user interface.
Why did the time freeze?
This is not the result of a game error, but rather the effect of a conscious decision made by the developers. Some of the storyline missions in Days Gone play out at a certain time of day (e.g. at night or in the morning). The game stops the in-game clock in such situations, in order to prevent the time of day from changing should you take a long time to complete a given mission. After the action is concluded, the in-game clock will once again begin measuring time correctly.
Are weather conditions & the day and night cycle in Days Gone?
The Days Gone game is characterized by changing weather conditions and a day and night cycle. This second mechanic will provide you with another variety of enemies; during the night the most vile creatures will wake up, and they have no regard for your life and fatigue, they will chase you until you lose them or fall into their claws.
As far as weather conditions are concerned, in Days Gone you will see beautiful, sunny days, snowfall and huge downpours. These phenomena affect the visibility, the behaviour of the hero and that of his opponents.
Why it is impossible kill the soldiers or scientists?
During your gameplay of Days Gone you can meet soldiers in yellow suits and scientists in white suits. Deacon can't kill them. This is not a game bug, but simply an "artificial rule", that derives from story and plot limitations. Do not attempt to use firearms or explosives. Playing missions with this type of opponents makes you act in stealth - help yourself by identifying enemies with binoculars, hide a lot and move in the bushes. In case of danger and detection, you can also help yourself with rocks and other items to distract enemies.
How to bypass the blockade in the tunnel?
Traveling to neighboring areas of the world map may require to drive through the tunnel on the motorcycle. The road through the tunnel can be blocked, but do not give up and look for another way. The solution to this problem is very simple - find vehicles that hero may push to unlock the way. Just hold Square and wait for the vehicle to roll to make way to another location. However, don't be surprised by the Freakers when you unlock the passage for your motorcycle.
Can Deacon crawl?

Can I drive a Golf cart?
This is, unfortunately, impossible. Golf cart is owned by Tucker from Hot Springs camp. The game will allow you to ride a Golf cart as a passenger. Tucker will drive, traveling on an scripted route.
Can important characters die?
NPCs can die, but only under specific circumstances. Important characters and NPCs who accompany Deacon can die in Days Gone during some missions. Death of allies causes mission failure and will restore you to the previous checkpoint (control point).
Pay attention to the actions of your allies and do not postpone in helping them when they, for example, are fighting with one of the monsters. We inform you about all dangerous moments and circumstances on the following page of our walkthrough in the Plot quests section.
Traveling with the motorcycle gang - is it possible?
Unfortunately, no. Deacon has been a member of a motorbike gang in the past, but he traverses the post-apocalyptic world of Days Gone alone for the vast majority of the time.
Other bikers (including Boozer and Rikki) appear mainly when completing selected missions. The game can then force you to travel with them to mission locations or eliminate them if they are hostile. Other people on motorbikes may also appear in cut-scenes (see image for example).
