Days Gone: How to beat Horde at the Iron Butte? Days Gone guide, walkthrough
Last update: 12 December 2022
On this page of our guide to Days Gone we have provided a detailed description of combat with Horde that resides in Iron Butte region. Defeating this Horde is part of the Keep Them Safe story mission. From our walkthrough you will learn how to prepare for the fight against the Horde and how to get rid of all the Freakers that are part of it.
This is the second of the three hordes required to complete the main plot of the Days Gone storyline. To the confrontation with the Iron Butte Resort Horde takes place in the final part of the main campaign, and specifically soon after receiving the mission called Keep Them Safe.
By the name of the Horde, you may know that it lives in the Iron Butte region. Before you leave to defeat the Horde, you should prepare just like any other confrontation with the Horde on a mission. Take a shotgun or machine gun, replenish first-aid kits and ammunition and stock up on as many Molotov Napalm, Molotov cocktails and explosives as possible.
This is the easiest Horde to defeat from the main three hordes required to complete the main campaign. Make your way to the Horde, which should be in a large pit where the corpses were burned. If you want, you can deploy trap in advance, although in this battle this is purely optional.
Begin the confrontation with the horde with throwing two molotov napalm cocktails to the pit. This way you will set dozens of Freakers on fire.
Great relief is the fact that the surrounding area is full of objects that can blow up. We suggest you concentrate on finding a truck with fuel tanks which are parked in several different places in the area. Wait for the Horde to get near the trucks and blow them up to cause huge explosions.
In addition to blowing up trucks you can also, of course, stop at the small explosive barrels or canisters, as well as drop wood beads that can crush running Freakers. This battle can be won easily even in 2-3 minutes.
