Valhei: Meat - how to cook it? Valheim guide, walkthrough
Last update: 18 February 2021
From this page of the Valheim game guide, you will learn how to prepare a Cooking station and how to cook meat.
In Valheim, characters need to eat to stay full, and to replenish missing health. During the game you can find or get many kinds of food such as Raspberries or Mushrooms, but the most nutritious is Cooked meat, so you should know how to cook it.
How do I prepare the cooking station?
Before you start cooking, it is a good idea to get some raw meat, which you can get after defeating a boar or deer, for example. Then light a fire and set up a Cooking station over it - you'll find it in the Build menu, under Crafting. It's a good idea to make sure your campfire is well sheltered from rain and wind - build a small canopy and put walls on either side of the campfire.
How to cook meat?
Walk up to the cooking station and place the meat pieces on the hooks. Wait until the meat starts to hiss and smoke and turns brown - this is a sign that it is cooked and can be removed from the heat. The fact that different types of meat require different cooking times should be noted here .
- Rawmeat: about 20-25 seconds;
- Fish: approximately 30 seconds;
- Necktail: approximately 20 seconds;
- Lox meat (Lox meat): approximately 60 seconds.
Burnt meat - is it useful?
If you leave raw meat at a cooking station and then forget about it, you will lose a valuable meal, but you will gain a raw material - Coal. In the world of Valheim, thankfully, even burnt food can be used for something.
