Last update: 26 February 2021
On this page of the Valheim guide, you will find a list of all armor sets with their stats and tips on how to get them. The description of each set is accompanied by screenshots showcasing their appearance.
Ragged Armor
Ragged Armor is a basic set that will give your character some protection without limiting their mobility. Ragged Armor can be crafted at the beginning of the game - just build a Workbench and get some Leather scraps.
Ragged Armor consists of the following pieces:
- Rag tunic: armor 1, weight 2;
- Rag pants: armor 1, weight 2.
Leather Armor
Leather Armor is the second (quality-wise) armor set you can create in Valheim. Leather Armor is light, does not limit the character's speed, consists of 4 pieces, and can be crafted after upgrading the Workbench to level 2.
Leather Armor consists of the following items:
- Leather helmet: armor 2, weight 1;
- Leather tunic: armor 2, weight 5;
- Leather pants: armor 2, weight 5;
- Deer hide cape: armor 1, weight 4.
Troll Armor
Troll Armor is the third set that can you will be able to craft – it requires the Workbench to be at level 3. To complete this set, you will need Troll hides. You can get them by killing Trolls - you will find them in the Black Forest biome. It is worth noting here that Troll Armor grants a decent armor bonus and does not slow your character down.
Troll Armor consists of the following items:
- Troll leather helmet: armor 6, weight 1;
- Troll leather tunic: armor 6, weight 5;
- Troll leather pants: armor 6, weight 5;
- Troll hide cape: armor 1, weight 4.
Complete armor bonus (4 pieces): 25% to stealth.
Bronze Armor
Bronze Armor will give your character more armor than the previously described light armors, but it will reduce their mobility by 10%. To create this set, you will need to learn how to mine metals, melt them into bars, and build a forge (level 1 required).
Bronze Armor includes the following items:
- Bronze helmet: armor 8, weight 3;
- Bronze plate cuirass: armor 8, weight 10, movement speed -5%;
- Bronze plate leggings: armor 8, weight 10, movement speed -5%.
Iron Armor
Iron Armor is better than the previously described Bronze Armor, but it is also much heavier. It should be noted here that heavy armor will reduce your character's movement speed by 10% in total. To forge this durable armor, you will need a level 1 forge, as well as a lot of iron and some deer hide.
Iron Armor consists of the following items:
- Iron helmet: armor 14, weight 3;
- Iron scale mail: armor 14, weight 15, movement speed -5%;
- Iron greaves: armor 14, weight 15, movement speed -5%.
Wolf Armor
Wolf Armor is one of the best sets available in Valheim. To forge the entire set of Wolf Armor, you will need a level 2 forge, as well as a large amount of silver, wolf pelts, and wolf fangs. It's also worth knowing that some parts of this set will give your character protection from the freezing temperatures found in the Mountains biome.
The Wolf Armor includes the following items:
- Drake helmet: armor 20, weight 3;
- Wolf armor chests: armor 20, weight 15, frost resistance, movement speed -5%;
- Wolf armor legs: armor 20, weight 15, movement speed -5%
- Wolf fur cape: armor 1, weight 4, frost resistance.
Padded Armor
Padded Armor is the best armor you can create in Valheim. You will need a lot of iron to make all the pieces of this armor, as well as a large supply of Linen thread. A linen cape works perfectly with this set.
Padded Armor includes the following items:
- Padded helmet: armor 26, weight 3;
- Padded cuirass: armor 26, weight 10, movement speed -5%;
- Padded greaves: armor 26, weight 10, movement speed -5%;
- Linen cape: armor 1, weight 4.
