Maneuvers | The Basics Titanfall Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

Available for the Pilot.

The keys provided in square brackets ([]) are default keys corresponding to a given action.

1. Wall run- your Pilot basic ability. To wallrun, you need to run towards that wall [SHIFT] and jump onto it [SPACE]. Remember that you can jump between walls, thanks to which you will remain up in the air for longer. This will ensure better view.

2. Wall hanging - over walls, you can not only run, but also hang down from them, To do that, press [RMB] while wall running, and the Pilot will cling to it. To hang for longer, you need to obtain the Enhanced Parkour Kit, which allows you to run and hang for longer.

3. Double jump - It is as easy as a pie to double jump. After you jump, while in the air, jump again, using [SPACE], thanks to which you will be in the air for longer and jump farther The best moment to perform the second jump is when you are at the peak of your first jump.

4. Grabbing onto ledges - while running, or jumping, when you are close to a ledge you can grab onto it with [SPACE], thanks to which you will avoid falling and you will climb onto that level.

5. Rodeo - there are 2 types available - a ride on an allied or an enemy Titans. In the case of the former, simply jump onto your colleague's back/shoulder and your Pilot will automatically sit on the Titan's shoulders that you can conduct fire from. In the case of the latter, the situation is similar - jump onto the back of an enemy Titan, and your Pilot will find a spot that is vulnerable to fire. Although the situation is easy in the case of an allied one, while riding an enemy Titan you need to remember : not to approach from the front side (it is easy to get squashed), watch out for enemy fire (the enemies will be interested in preventing the Titan from being destroyed and shoot you down), not to use weapon that can wound/kill you (it is better not to use rockets - the effect is the same as when shooting at the ground under your feet).

6. Kick/execution- if you sneak up to an enemy from behind, you can perform an execution on him [C], or perform a round kick, if you approach him from the front [C]. The effect is immediate kill and bonus points. And the satisfaction.

7. Hacking - the last element that can be used by the Pilot is hacking into the enemy Spectres, which can be done by pressing an appropriate key ([E]). Such a robot will follow you around and provide (questionable) fire support.

Te view after evacuation.

Available onboard the Titan.

1. Dodge - a very useful option that allows you to avoid the enemy rockets and projectiles. IT consists in moving (sliding) quickly in a specific direction (the so called dash). Performed with the jump button ([SPACE]) and direction.

2. Evacuation- the option that allows you to eject quickly upwards from the destroyed (or not) Titan. It is a good idea to use the moment in the air to get on the rooftop of a higher building to gain an upper hand, ensured by the height.

3. Ripping the Pilot off - to rip the enemy Pilot off the cockpit, which results in the Titan's being destroyed and the Pilot killed, you need to approach the enemy machine and press the melee key ([C]). An important note - the enemy Titan needs to be in the "doomed" condition, which means that your time to reach it before it explodes is limited.

Some of the abovementioned actions can be practiced in the Training mode provided with the game. If you do not feel up to using these actions, you can use this option again. It is very important that you master all of the actions and combine them into continuous streaks. This will allow you to remain in constant movement (which is very important) and to move quickly from one point to another. The effective movement is a key here, and is what makes Titanfall dynamic.
