Crude, but effective.

Capture The Flag game mode has a clear objective - capture the enemy flag and bring it to your base. Obviously, the other team will be trying to do the same, so a proper balance between attack and defense is essential. In the midtime (or midscore, e.g. 3:0) there is sides switching - the game "starts over", that is, Build Time is reset and all deployed Titans "go back" to the garage. So do not forget to call in your machine soon enough, otherwise the chance may be lost until the countdown finishes again (when sides switching happens, Burn Cards in use remain active; you can also pick another one).

To capture the flag you just need to walk through or jump across it - it does not really matter. You get a point when you manage to bring the enemy flag to your base (to the place where your flag is). Scoring a "try" is only possible when your flag is still in the base. Many times you will be unable to get a point, even if you have carried the flag to the right place, until someone returns the flag to the base. In order to return the flag to its place the enemy Pilot who is carrying it must be killed and someone from your team has to pick up the flag - at this the flag automatically gets back to the base. Both flags are marked on the map - the blue means your team's flag, while the orange, the opposite's. Special audio announcements inform you about how the events unfold, e.g. if somebody has just picked up the flag. Remember that while carrying the enemy flag you become number one target!

Attack

If you want to focus on attacking, it is good to use Stim ability, which allows you to run off with the enemy flag more quickly. Frag grenades are useful to clear off the enemy base. The best type of weapon here is something that works best at short range - an SMG or a shotgun. When approaching the enemy flag watch out for mines or satchel charges, as much as for "campers". If possible, head right to your base as soon as you capture the flag, without engaging into firefight. Carrying the flag on the board of a Titan is a valid option! In that case you are much better protected - leave the machine as close to your base as possible.

Defense

As a defender, first you have to equip yourself with mines or satchel charges. When planted appropriately these can eliminate the first careless Pilot who gets near your flag. The choice of weapon depends on your preferred play style - both assault rifle and SMG will work, on some maps you may even use a sniper rifle. If the enemy captures the flag, try to eliminate him as quickly as possible - he drops the flag when killed. You can then walk to the flag in order to return it to your base. Choose your path wisely - you are unlikely to catch the enemy when following the same route he took - try running cross-country and ambush him, instead - you can see him on the radar all the time. When the enemy is running away on board of a Titan, the situation gets a little bit more complicated - try to force him to leave the machine by performing rodeo or ambush him near his base. Nothing hurts as much as getting killed a few seconds before scoring a point.

The most useful abilities in this mode are: Stim, Cloak, Enhanced Parkour Kit and Run N Gun Kit. Besides, if you decide to leave your Titan to defend the flag, do not forget about Guardian Chip.
