Last update: 09 November 2018

Starlink is a game with a very specific structure. That's why the process of launching it differs from most games. Below you will find information on what is required to play Starlink.

Docking station

The first and most important thing is the docking station. This is a special device that allows you to read the construction elements you have used and transfer them to the game. It requires a connection to the console. Otherwise you will get the option to play on digital versions of the ships. However, these versions are only active for a week, then you have to connect the docking station with the appropriate ship to the console.

Figurines

Another thing you need is a ship, a pilot and armament. These are the figures that you will connect to the docking station. When you buy a game, you receive a so-called starter package. You will find a pilot, a ship and three weapons. It guarantees you the completion of a functional unit. However, it does not allow for any significant changes in the configuration.

Internet connection

The game itself does not require a permanent Internet connection. However, when you start the game for the first time, leave the Internet connection on. The game downloads the basic files during the installation. The whole Atlas map is downloaded during your exploration of Kirite. Lack of Internet connection will prevent you from getting away from the first planet.
