Constructing outposts in Starlink Battle for Atlas Starlink Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 23 November 2018
At some stage of the game in Starlink, you will be given the opportunity to construct outposts. This is an extremely useful option, because it allows you to partially adjust the objects located on the surface of the planet. The following chapter will introduce you to the principle of operation of the outposts.
You will not be able to construct outposts anywhere. You have designated places for them - they can only be constructed in the place of destroyed Imp Hives or by the previously destroyed outposts. Those locations are marked on the map, you will not have any problem locating them. Additionally, if you need a specific construction at a given location on the planet, you can simply find the closest Imp Hive. Once it is destroyed, you will be immediately able to construct the necessary facility.
You can place any type of outpost you have seen in the game. It means that you can place observatories, refineries, armories and workshops. Additionally, you can also place story-related objects that are required to complete a quest, such as the Starlink tower. Even though all of them require the same resources - nova and electrum - the quantity will change. Without a doubt, the most expensive one is the armory. This is due to the fact that it provides quite a strong combat support for you and makes fighting against the Legion much easier. Troops from the armory can attack enemy Extractors and Imp Hives on their own.
Additionally, aside from the necessary amount of resources, you will also need sufficiently high influence on the planet. This means that each type of facility is possible for construction only if you have a sufficiently high influence. As in the case of resources, the Armory requires the highest influence to construct.
Constructed outposts operate on exactly the same principles as normal facilities. Their improvements require exactly the same. Increasing the level of the outpost will either require purchasing a specific upgrade or selling the right amount of resources to the facility itself.
