Fight with Neil | Judgement - Claire RE: Revelations 2 Guide
Last update: 02 February 2017
The fight with Neil the mutant can be divide into two phases. The first one, shorter, consists in heating up his body as fast as you can. You can do It by shooting at him or (more efficient way) throwing burning bottles. If you don't have them, the fight will be slightly longer. In this case, try to stand behind the yellow containers, which Neil will be destroying with his attacks (strike or charge). The explosion will burn him.
When you heat Neil to the right temperature, he will try to cool down by destroying the water tanks. Now it's the time for you to attack, because you can see his heart (screen). Shoot only at the orange blister, to deal more damage to Neil. Don't mind his attacks for a while.
In the next part, the fight is similar, but Neil gains the ability to shoot his long arm and grab Claire to throw her onto the wall. When you see the enemy preparing to do that, dodge immediately. A good idea is to stand behind the exploding containers, which Neil will destroy with his arm (they will burn him). Moreover, in this phase, watch out for the tentacles left on the ground and for the boss falling from above. When you see him getting ready to do that, dodge to the side.
During the whole battle, you have to increase the enemy's body temperature so that you can see his heart. When you do, shoot all your ammunition at it (save some stronger ammo for this part). Use all the bottles during the fight and run between the yellow containers so that Neil destroys them. When running around, you will also find some ammo boxes, which you should of course pick up. When you uncover Neil's heart two or three times and damage it, the boss will die. Go to the elevator and head up.
After a while, you will fall back down - after you regain control over Claire, press the right button quickly to grab the gun and kill Neil, or switch to Moira. Wait until she crawls forward and reach for the gun, which will end this part.
Note: This decision (who will kill Neil) will have great impact on the ending of the game, specifically speaking - on Barry's campaign in fourth episode. Gameplay itself won't change at all, but the final battle and cutscene at the end will be different (especially the cutscene). "Good" ending will be shown if it was Moira that took the gun.
