After you get the key, you can take any door, or not - after you approach the ladder, one of them is opened and an enemy dashes from inside. Take advantage of the fat that, as of now, there is only one, aim to the head and attack in melee, when it is stunned (slightly bent down), thanks to which you save some ammo.
Then, dash through the opened door (it does not matter which one), where you find a pack of pistol ammo on the shelf. Reload ([R]) and return to the main hall, where you are welcomed by a committee of three opponents. Especially the "boss" is important here, who has an axe, because his attacks are lethal to you.
Unfortunately, you do not escape here, until you defeat them all, because they keep throwing you off the ladder, should you try to climb it. Let Moira escape, and deal with the opponents yourself. You need to remain in constant movement and try, at the same time, to shoot precisely, not necessarily to the head, because each bullet is of value. Handle the stunned opponents down in melee, using the knife (it is automatic, if you perform an attack without aiming). If possible, shoot the opponent with the axe, in the first place. Remember that you may run out of ammo, if you try to deal with them all so, it is better to use melee attacks and handle enemies down.
After you have dealt with the opponents, climb the ladder, or return downstairs as Moira, discover in the opened room, next to the ladder, using the flashlight, the first Kafka Drawing. While standing in the spot, in which you tried to obtain the key from the guard's body, you can notice the Tower Emblem- it is under the platform by the ladder, which you took to the lower level to find the key.
On your way back, get ready for a small hell. After you open the door, go right, where you find pistol ammo and a Green herb. You can stay here for a little longer and wait for the enemy roaming around, who will soon locate you. Then, along your path, in front of the grated door, watch out for the enemy that attacks you with an axe. Try to dodge at the moments, at which he takes swings, which will allow you to avoid damage.
Further in the corridor, in the second cell to the left, you will be surprised by another opponent. If your health is low (the red border around the screen), this means that you should take a dodge and collect the Green herb from the cell. Then, kill the enemy and, at the end of the corridor, another one. Climb up the stairs and use the key to the experiment block.
Right past the passage, pick up the shotgun. From now on, you can switch between the guns that you own (numeric pad). Smash the crate in front of you and pick up shotgun ammo. After that, you automatically cut to Moira.
Approach the shelf with Claire . Use the flashlight ([RMB]) to find Topaz (100 CP), pistol ammo and a crowbar. Using the crowbar, as Moira, you can attack your opponents. Give pistol ammo to Claire (use the inventory screen([T]), point to ammo and select "give" ([C])). By the wall to the right of the door, with the flashlight, you can spot another Kafka Drawing. Open the door ([E]) and you will cut back to Claire.
Follow the corridor, up until you reach a small room. Here, it is a good idea to cut back to Moira and use the flashlight to locate pistol ammo, and shotgun ammo after you smash the crate. Then, open the gate and take the stairs up.
