On this page of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy guide, you can learn more about saving your progress. We explain how to use the save option, the importance of save slots, and how to use them correctly.
Guardians of the Galaxy also perform autosaves, and as a result, you don't have to use manual saving. However, this is not recommended, as having control over saves can protect you from bad decision fallout and missing certain collectibles.
You can save the game manually from the pause menu. However, be aware that in some situations this option may not be available, as e.g. the current scene has to end before you can save.
You have 3 save slots - here is how they work:
- From the moment you select a particular slot, all subsequent saves are made on it. This means that your progress will be automatically overwritten on this slot as part of your progress. As a result, it won't stay intact.
- This means that you should regularly change the current slot so that the previous one remains unchanged and all subsequent progress is saved on the newly selected one. This behavior is recommended especially when you expect an important decision to appear. Once the important choice appears, pause the game and choose another save slot. This will protect you, for example, in case you've chosen the wrong answer and failed the conversation.
