Last update: 06 March 2024
On this page of the guide to LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, you will find an answer to whether buying Rumours is a good idea. We inform you when Rumours can be useful and when buying them is a waste of resources.
What are Rumours?
Rumors are hints . Thanks to them you can learn, among others:
- what are the conditions for completing challenges of story missions,
- where to look for specific collectibles,
- where to unlock new playable characters,
- where to start side missions and solve puzzles.
They fall into two main categories: The first category is Rumours for which you pay with Studs. You can select them from menu windows when viewing hidden content, specifically hidden items marked with question marks. The price of a Rumour depends on its "usefulness". Unlocking a single collectible or challenge may cost, for example, 30,000 Studs, but revealing information about the location of a rare character to unlock may cost 100,000 Studs or even more.
The second category is Rumours unlocked through conversations with NPCs . Look for characters marked with blue exclamation marks . They can share tips and useful information for free .
Buying Rumours - when is it advisable and when not necessary?
You should buy Rumors for coins only in certain situations:
- You can't find a collectible or puzzle to complete a given location or mission in 100% and you have problems finding the missing thing.
- You want to use the option of unlocking hidden content to, for example, make it easier to reach an NPC with a side quest. Unfortunately, the game doesn't let you unlock all items with the question marks, only the selected ones.
On the other hand, you should refrain from buying rumors if:
- You've just started exploring a given area. There is then a good chance that you will find many of the secrets, puzzles, challenges, and side missions while exploring the location, without the need for additional help from the game.
- You have a Collectable Detector or you plan to buy one (picture above). This item adds marks on the screen for some types of collectibles, making it easier to find where they are. You can use the detector for free and as often as you like.
Our guide pages on challenges, collectibles, and puzzles should also prove helpful. We tried to include as many things as possible needed for completing the game 100%.
