On this page of the guide to LEGO Skywalker Saga, you can find a description of the boss fight with Kylo Ren. He's the main villain of episode 7 (The Force Awakens) and you will face him during the Destroying Starkiller story mission. The following walkthrough suggests how to avoid Kylo Ren's strong attacks and how to empty his health bar three times.

Expect the standoff with Kylo Ren in the final level of part 7 - The Destruction of the Starkiller. The duel takes place after completing the attack on the Starkiller base in which you piloted the spaceship. In this case, a full-fledged duel with Kylo Ren will take place in the forest.
Boss fight description
Finn and Rey will take part in the fight with Kylo Ren. The duel consists of 3 parts and in each of them your task will be to empty one of the boss' health bars.
Kylo Ren has red attacks, which include long jumps combined with ground slams, charges and flinging his lightsaber. With these attacks, use dodge so that you do not fall within the range.
Always attack Kylo Ren with a character using a lightsaber - initially it will be Finn. Blaster attacks will not have the desired effect, because the boss is able to automatically block them or deflect them with his sword (a reflected blaster projectile can easily kill your hero!).
Also, you can safely block his attacks yourself. It can be especially useful in melee combat.
Our description of the duel doesn't include the tactic of throwing a lightsaber at the boss, since a bug may prevent you from performing this action. If this action works correctly in your version of the game, you can use it to weaken the boss from a distance. However, it is not mandatory to win the fight. You can read more about that on a separate page of the guide.
At certain moments of the duel, melee combat QTE sequences may be triggered. All their variations involve mashing (pressing quickly) the indicated button in order to win a wrestle with Kylo Ren.
After Kylo Ren loses the first of 3 health bars, he will run away for the first time. You have to chase him, but fortunately it is not complicated. Destroy the objects that Kylo Ren knocked over and start making your way through the forest.
You will encounter minor opponents along the way, and you may try to ignore them or get rid of them as they come (with a there's an achievement connected to it).
Ultimately, you will reach the place where the second part of the fight with Kylo Ren takes place. The part of the duel will not surprise you with any new abilities and you have to use the same strategy of avoiding red attacks and dealing damage.
After emptying the second health bar, new QTE scenes with button mashing will be triggered. They also have an important role in the plot, because your lightsaber will be taken by Rey. Finn will be using a blaster from now on.
For the second time, you have to go in pursuit of the boss. Get rid of a new group of regular enemies and run across the wing of the crashed fighter.
The route will lead you to a larger vertical wall. Each of the heroes can use their own skill to reach the top – Rey from the web launcher on the left (produce it after holding the gadget selection button), and Finn to pull himself to the hooks on the right.
You have to get to the place where the third part of the fight with Kylo Ren will take place, but before you attack the boss, better get rid of the new mobs.
Again, you have to focus on avoiding the boss's special attacks and use the lightsaber (as Rey) to deal damage to him. The duel will end with a cut-scene.
