Immortals Fenyx Rising: Saving Our Hides - walkthrough Immortals Fenyx Rising guide, walkthrough
Last update: 26 February 2021
On this page of our Immortals Fenyx Rising guide you can find a walkthrough for Saving Our Hides side quest. The quest can be activated once you complete the Valley Of The Eternal Spring quest chain.
Your objective is to kill four legendary beasts, which are located in different locations of the zone. There is a possibility that you've done a part of this quest without even knowing it. As you start tracking the quest, you'll receive 4 map markers that show the locations of legendary beasts that you have to deal with.
Our guide will help you in fighting the beasts, in all there are four of them:
- Slayer of Adonis, Legendary Boar
- The Legendary Nemean Lion
- Kallisto, Legendary Bear
- Alektryon, Legendary Rooster
Slayer of Adonis, Legendary Boar
Slayer of Adonis, Legendary Boar can be found in the south of the zone. When fighting the boar, stay in melee range. If you won't stay close, the boar will use charging attacks. The charge can be avoided easily, but the fight duration increases, as after you dodge, the boar continues to charge even further. It will have launched another attack by the time you get close to it again.
. When in melee range, the boar mostly uses two attacks. Most of the time, these attacks cannot be parried. One of them is a hit with its snout, after which the boar falls to the ground. If you perform a perfect dodge seconds before the attack, you'll have a lot of time to hit it further.
When it comes to the second attack, the boar goes into a frenzy and attacks with its hooves, creating shockwaves. In case of this attack, it is better to let it "complete" the action and strike at it once the danger is over. Make use of potions and godly powers if killing the Slayer of Adonis proves to be too much.
The Legendary Nemean Lion
In the north-west of the zone, there is another legendary beast - The Legendary Nemean Lion. The lion is a slightly more formidable opponent to defeat than the boar. Similarly to the boar encounter, consider staying in melee range and perform dodges to get behind the Lion's back.
The Nemean Lion attacks mainly with its long paws. Staying in front of the beast is not a good idea. Instead, move a lot and dodge at the right time to get behind the opponent and start attacking it then.
The lion can sometimes become idle for a moment during the battle - when that happens, quickly retreat, as after a short while it will start to glow red and roar. The roar creates a shock wave around the lion that will stagger you and deal damage if you don't dodge quickly.
When it comes to its impossible-to-parry attacks, the beast can perform a lunge, attacking with its two paws. When you see the build-up to this attack, dodge to the opponent's back, rather than to a side.
Kallisto, Legendary Bear
Kallisto, Legendary Bear is encountered in the north of the zone, near the area belonging to Typhon. Kallisto is probably the toughest opponent to beat in this quest. When fighting Kallisto, make use of the sword. Remember to attack only when you've previously made a perfect dodge. Stay in constant motion and avoid its impossible-to-parry attacks.
Kallisto is very dangerous - its attacks can cause great damage, especially those that cannot be parried. For that reason, it is best to employ "stay as close to the enemy as possible" tactics. This means staying very close to the opponent, almost as if attempting to merge with it - this way you'll avoid many attacks.
Failing to stay close means having to deal with dangerous attacks, such as a charge that causes a lot of damage to your hero. When you are close to Kallisto, it will mainly attack with its paws, performing a combination - two quick attacks and one slower. During the build-up to this attack, the boss will stand on two legs. Kallisto can also perform one slower attack, aimed at your character. In that case, dodge to the opposite direction, depending on which hand is attacking.
When the beast has less than half its health, it will turn red, starting a second phase of the encounter. Its attacks become even more deadly, so you need to be careful not to get hit. It would be good to attack Kallisto as often as possible to have the highest combo level, so you will deal more and more damage.
Alektryon, Legendary Rooster
Alektryon, Legendary Rooster is the easiest beast to defeat in this quest. But it isn't that easy - initially, you'll have to deal with other roosters that also take part in the battle.
Start by getting rid of the smaller roosters before you fight Alektryon. This will make it easier for you to focus on the main opponent.
Alektryon attacks when it is not being attacked... Your strikes interrupt its attacks, making the rooster easy to defeat. However, if your attacks are delayed, it can respond with jumping in the air and attacking with its legs. Alektryon rather runs than fights, so get him close to a wall so it cannot escape.
