Last update: 26 February 2021
On this page of the Immortals Fenyx Rising game guide, you will learn how to defeat the boss during the Jaws of War quest. You will have to face Kottos the All-Seeing.
Kottos, despite his size and appearance, he not as difficult a boss as he might seem. He mostly focuses on using four of the few abilities available to him. The only problem is that three of these are impossible to parry, so you'll have to resort to dodging them.
As part of his first ability, Kottos hits the ground with his hands to create a large wave heading in one direction. When you notice Kottos is about to unleash the attack, you should either step away a bit or attack him from the back. Kottos is rather sluggish and will take a moment to recover after performing an attack.
By smashing the ground multiple times with his fists, he creates pillars which, moments later, spring up from under you and deal damage upon contact. The moment you see red light glowing under you, dodge out of the way or just run if you have enough stamina. He always summons exactly 5 pillars, no more and no less. After the fifth pillar appears, attack him.
His most powerful attack is to roll into a ball, straighten his arms out, and launch himself in your direction. When you notice him preparing this attack, be ready to dodge to the side. He will only roll in a straight line, making this attack easy to dodge. However, if you fail to avoid it, the consequences may be dire.
Although you cannot parry any of his special abilities, you will be able to deflect his regular attacks. He may attempt to hit you if you walk up close to him. He will swing his arms twice. Still, you'll benefit more if you perform a perfect dodge rather than parry this blow.
It is important to stay near him, as this will allow you to dodge most of attacks by going behind his back. His attack animations can be quite lengthy, and he often takes a while to recover after using his stronger abilities. Use your godly powers as they deal significant amounts of damage to him. Athena's Dash works very well here.
