Pecking Orders - Ares' quests walkthrough
Last update: 17 June 2021
On this page of the Immortals Fenyx Rising game guide, you will learn how to complete the main quest called Pecking Orders. This is the second task related to Ares.
At the start of the quest, you need to talk to Ares, who is in his headquarters.
After talking to Ares, you'll have two objectives to complete. First, head towards the objective in the south of the region.
You will need to reach the Vault located there. However, the Vault is protected by Typhon's soldiers and Cerberus. Defeat them and then go inside.
The first obstacle is a platform with spikes, simply jump on it when the spikes disappear, and continue further. The true challenge begins now, as the spikes on the following platform trigger irregularly and, what's more, the Cerberus statues shoot fireballs. Hop onto the middle platform when the spikes go down and just before they reappear, jump on the platform to the right.
The next stage involves long-lasting spikes that switch from the middle to the sides. Just wait until the spikes in the middle go down to jump on the platform, you will have plenty of time to make it before they reappear. Continue jumping forward.
Moving on, you will encounter two of Typhon's soldiers. They won't be much of a threat, so dispose of them and reach the platform.
The platform will activate pillars to the left and right, which will begin to move. As they touch the ground, quickly grab onto them and wait until they carry you up. The pillar you choose won't make much of a difference, we chose the one on the left side.
Next you will face an obstacle course, you'll need to watch out for spikes and the statues of Cerberus. Wait for the right moment to continue on. When you see the spikes turn yellow, don't jump on them.
The rest of the course works similarly. Use the pillars that are devoid of spikes.
When you reach the checkpoint, a large soldier of Typhon wielding a shield will appear and summon smaller soldiers. You should use area of effect attacks or an Axe in this fight.
The next step is to get on the platform and wait for the pillar to reach you. Once that's done, step onto the platform while keeping an eye out for fireballs. Jump over them if they become a problem.
When the column arrives at other end, all that remains is to run across the spike platforms. Walk onto the first platform when the spikes go down, then run straight ahead as the second set of spikes disappears.
Near the end, wait until the spikes disappear to jump on the platform, all the while being cautious of stray fireballs.
When you reach the other side, your task will be to fix the object pictured in the attached image. The first part is located directly in front of the pillar.
Once you've placed it, you'll be attacked by a Minotaur. Watch out if he charges at you or tries to attack you in close range, try to stun him from behind. Phosphor is very useful during this fight.
After defeating the Minotaur, look at the pillars that will start to move up and down. On the left pillar you will find the second part of the object. Grab it and put it in its proper place.
Piecing the object back together will activate the pillar to the right. However, instead of heading towards it, walk up to the wall marked with a red eye symbol. Behind it, you will find the chest pictured in the attached image. Fly up to it and open it.
Then, go to the platform and wait until all the pillars are joined into one. As soon as this happens, quickly run up to the last pillar. Then jump on the platform moving upwards.
Now, return to the platforms that were activated after killing the Minotaur. At the very top you will find a Lightning Bolt of Zeus, pick it up to complete one of the two objectives.
Now, head towards the marker located in the north of the region. Your task will be to insert all the missing teeth back into the jaw.
You'll find two of them near a pond, along with some opponents. After you defeat them, destroy the red stones to find the two teeth hidden within.
The last tooth is located near the jaw. Put all three teeth back in the jaw. Doing this will cause the jaw to open.
Stand on the platform and use the Apollo's Arrows power. Aim at the target in the middle, then hit all the others, and finally set fire to the hearth.
After completing the objective, collect the Coins of Charon. A cutscene will follow. When it ends, pick up the trumpet (the salpinx).
