Master parrying and dodging to perfection
The combat system of the game is mainly based on attacking, dodging, and parrying the attacks of your opponents. Mastering parrying and dodging will help you defeat enemy creatures much easier and faster. If you manage to execute a perfectly timed dodge, the passage of time in the game will slow down significantly, allowing you to gain a brief window of opportunity during which you can attack your enemies with impunity. On the other hand, you can deal large amounts of damage when parrying.
Not every attack can be parried
Although it is usually worth using this mechanic, due to the substantial damage that it can inflict and the large bonuses that it applies towards the stun gauge, parrying will not allow you to protect your hero against all types of enemy attacks. When an opponent attacks you, and the model of said enemy is highlighted in red, it means that the incoming attack will be impossible to parry. In such a case, your only options are to dodge, move away from the enemy, or attack if you see that the stun gauge of the enemy is almost completely full.
Stealth is extremely useful
Fenyx is able to sneak around in the game, so that opponents are unable to see him. In most cases, slowly walking towards an enemy while crouching will allow you to sneak up on him and approach him from behind. In addition, our character can hide in bushes, making it very difficult for any enemies to spot him. Using stealth will help you to sneak behind enemy lines and avoid certain encounters. It also allows you to perform stealth attacks that deal very high amounts of damage.
Collect fruits and mushrooms in your spare time
It is very important to regularly collect all of the fruits and mushrooms that you stumble upon in your spare time. By themselves, they will not benefit your character in any major way, although they can restore some of your health (red) and stamina (blue). However, they can be used to create potions, which have the potential to restore much more of your health and stamina. Some of these ingredients will even allow you to create Attack Potions (purple) and Defence Potions (yellow).
Use your axe for more than just for combat
Once you have completed some of the initial missions, your character will be able to fight with an axe, which is mainly used to attack and stun your enemies. However, this is not the only potential use for this weapon. Among other things, the axe will allow you to cut down smaller trees, which will then give you the option to throw logs at your opponents. In addition, hitting a larger tree which contains pomegranates with an axe, will make them drop to the ground, which will make it much easier to collect them! The pomegranates are the red fruits that can restore your HP.
Explore the world to grow in power
Completing quests is a very important process by which your character will gain new abilities and divine powers, however, focusing only on them will not strengthen your character enough to make it easier for you to go complete the game. In your spare time, consider focusing on the exploration of the world of the game in order to find various treasure chests, Ambrosia, etc. By finding and opening chests you will gain Adamantine Shards, which can be used to improve weapons, armour or potions, while the previously mentioned Ambrosia will increase your maximum health.
Builds are an important part of the game
Yes, in Immortals Fenyx Rising the gameplay mechanics allow you to create character builds that will strengthen your character in specific areas of your choice. Both armour and weapons have two unique skills that enhance particular effects. The first one is active from the very beginning, while the second one is unlocked when you upgrade the weapon or armour to the fourth level. A given weapon or armour piece will work much better on some opponents than on others, so it is worth changing your equipment in some moments.
Use Far Sight to your advantage
Far Sight allows you to see much further, to track quests, and most importantly, to discover icons on the map. Once you use your Far Sight ability, you can discover an icon as soon as the white indicator appears. Thanks to this, the location with a given object or challenge will be marked on your map, and you can return to this place later and obtain or complete whatever was marked.
Make use of mounts and gliding to travel quickly
In the game there are only a few locations that will allow you to quick travel somewhere. Some places you will have to go by yourself. Therefore, it is worth using mounts and the Wings of Daedalus, which will allow you to glide and travel through large parts of the map at a very fast pace.
You can use potions and fruits while performing various activities
Using stamina potions while climbing high walls will allow you to avoid situations in which your character will lose all of his endurance and fall, taking heavy damage. The case is the same when it comes to gliding or controlling Apollo's Arrows. If you do not have enough stamina points for a given activity, consume potions, fruits or mushrooms, which can be used even when running, fighting, climbing or gliding.
