Biomutant: Unwanted loot - how to dispose of it? Biomutant guide, walkthrough
Last update: 20 May 2021
On this page of the Biomutant game guide we will explain how to get rid of unwanted loot, i.e. items you have obtained which, due to their low stats or your chosen gameplay style, you won't end up using. We listed two main methods to remove items from your inventory.
In Biomutant , you don't have to worry about a carrying limit. The problem is that loot is found in huge quantities during gameplay. As a result, it's very easy to get lost among all the things you find.
In addition, many of the items you find have little chance of being used, especially if they are weapons or items of clothing with much lower stats than your current equipment. All of this means that you will want to get rid of at least some of the things you are carrying.
The first idea is to Dismantle unwanted items. This is only recommended for lower value items in order to avoid damaging a potentially very valuable item.
To dismantle an item, highlight it in your inventory and press the scrap button (Triangle / Y on the pad). Depending on the type of item you want to dismantle, the game may offer small crafting components or finished parts. You don't have to disassemble items without knowing exactly what you will get from it. This can be helpful if you need specific ingredients for crafting. Of course, you can decide not to dismantle an item if you don't like the products such operation yields.
The second idea is to sell unwanted items to traders. This will earn you Green - the local currency.
When planning what to sell, avoid selling the items you are currently using. Items sold by mistake can be bought back from the same trader, but their price will be much higher and you will end up losing a lot of cash. It's a good idea to save the game before talking to a trader to prevent this from happening. It will also safeguard you from buying less-than-useful items from a given merchant.
