Biomutant: Aura Biomutant guide, walkthrough
Last update: 18 May 2021
On this page of the Biomutant guide, you will find information about Aura - one of the original mechanics implemented in this game.
Aura in Biomutant can be described as the main character's conscience and is related to actions and choices made throughout the game. Auras can affect how NPCs will react to your character, as well as the ending of Biomutant.
Aura mechanic
The Aura rating represents the internal balance of your character and changes as a result of your dialogue choices and interactions with captives and civilians. For example, if you do good all the time, the character's beliefs will strengthen over time and their aura will become light.
Child Aura
The choices you make as you play the sequences from the past will be judged separately and affect how your character will be remembered by the NPCs you meet along the way.
Aura and psi-powers
Your choices and interactions can provide Psi-Points which you can spend to unlock new powers at Psionic Totems. Some powers available in Biomutant can only be unlocked when your hero's aura is dark, and others when it is light.
How to change Aura?
The best and fastest way to earn Aura points in Biomutant is to capture different species of small wild animals, free captives, and perform good or evil deeds.
- Wild animals - every time you catch a small animal, you will be able to pet it (Light Aura points) or kill it (Dark Aura points);
- Captives - when you free a captive, you will be able to help them (Light Aura points) or hit (Dark Aura points).
- Dialogue options - the choices you make when talking to characters you meet also affect your Aura. Helping NPCs makes the Aura light while mocking them darkens the Aura.
