On this page of the guide, you will learn everything about a heroic victory - what it is and how to achieve it in Total War Warhammer 3.
From the very beginning, the Total War games have evaluated the players' performance and achievements in battle. Depending on how you do, you can achieve different levels of victory or defeat. The best possible option for winning the battle is the heroic victory.
It is very difficult to achieve. First, you have to face an army more powerful than your own. You not only have to win against it, but you also have to take as little losses of your own as possible, which only makes it more difficult.
There is no blueprint for doing it. A lot depends on the battle and the terrain you are in. Of course, it's generally easier to take small losses and inflict heavy damage on the enemy in all defensive battles, especially in fortified cities.
The heroic victory seems the easiest to achieve by obtaining the souls of the demon princes. This is due to the specificity of these battles. Enemy waves virtually flood the player, which gives the opponent a huge advantage in numbers (in the final summary), but these attacks come gradually, not simultaneously. Additionally, you can build fortifications between the waves and heal the army, which makes the overall fight a bit easier. During these fights you can also summon additional units that don't count towards the losses of your own army. Remember, however, to send those into the heaviest combat and save the "real" units.
You can read more about battles with princes on the Battles for the daemon souls page.
